Overland from India to Thailand

I want to travel through even China or Burma to Thailand, has anyone done this route or know someone who has?

You can catch a plane from Hong kong to Thailand SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT NEW BANGKOK I think you can find some cheap tickets from here

Hi Tomas

We went from Thailand through to India via Laos, Vietnam, China, Tibet and Nepal so I guess you'd be looking to do something similar but in reverse? As I understand it, you can't travel through Myanmar (Burma) as the land borders aren't open for through travel.

What kind of info are you looking for?

Hi Vikki, and thank you very much! Wow, but that's a long way and a lot of borders to be crossed.. I was hoping I could get into Myanmar but I guess that's a problem then.. So... the cheapest way from India to Thailand would be by air anyways, because of all the visas I need to purchase at the border.. right? Maybe I'll just go for the swim then :P
