Want to know about the Mae Sot Border Situation at the moment.

Hi there.
I was wondering if anybody went to Mae Sot lately for a visa run and could tell me how the situation was at the moment? Is it possible to cross the border without any problems? I will need to do a visa run soon to get another 15 days in Thailand (although I don't quite like that new regulation....).
