What is your favorite book to read when on the road? Not necessarily travel or location related, but what do you like to read when on the road?
Love at the time of Cholera is my favorite book. Fermina Darza and Florentino Ariza--what a story. Check my name, it comes from there. I read the book several times, and I memorized most of it. Enjoy a beautiful love story!
Reply to this Does it tell us where in the world Carmon Sandiago really is? Sorry - it was a show here a few years ago.
Reply to this All The Right Places by Brad Newsham is a terrific read.
Reply to this If you will travel to China, I recommend " Shop in Shenzhen" written by Ellen. There is the new edition published in 2009.
Reply to this When i travelled across Norway in the summer i had Oscar Wildes collection and enjoyed reading some short stories from there with beautiful imagery and one of my favorites, 'Yes Man' by Danny wallace (to be in no way compared to the very different film made with the same name) it really changed my attitude as well as being a nice light hearted read, it got me saying yes to things along my trip i probably never would have and opened me to a whole load of opportunities and laughs ^_^
Reply to this It is really a very nice idea to read books while traveling to avoid boredom specially if it is a long journey time. I personally would like to read books related to the place i will visit so that i will know the beautiful tourist spots and planned how will i consume my time there.
Reply to this I always look for a paperback that I can easily carry. I never carry big hardback books. Go to Sams Club where you can get best sellers at a great discount. This way I am usually reading something current from the Top 10.
Reply to this my #1 favorite book to read while traveling:
Life of Pi
#2 the Tao of Pooh.

Reply to this My God! I haven’t write to this forum for a while, but my reading haven’t stopped. This Summer I planned to visit Cuba, but instead I went to Juan Dolio, Santo Domingoit was awesome. I went to a beautiful beach apartment, and I really enjoyed it (if you want to visit it, just ask me). After several European vacations, having a peaceful time by the beach was really peaceful. My reading while I was there were: Hiroshima by John Hersey and Paulo Coehlo’s El Vencedor esta Solo. One more thing, I still want to visit Cuba with Fidel there.
