Hi All, I appreciate this doesn’t have anything to do with travel, but still it is to do with Kangaroojack our adventures and our love of curry. We eluded that we have found an awesome Indian restaurant in Fremantle called the Copper Chimney and we went for dinner there last night, well I felt we had earned it after a hectic week for both us and also the fact that my ever spiteful wife had made me, yes I said made me go out and run Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday night. We booked a table for 7.30 as its Friday night, we are exhausted and would be early to bed, so the order of the day was simple , get up, go to work come home, go for a run, dinner then bed. The restaurant ... read more

Biting off more than we could chew 12/11/2015 Well as you read last Saturday on our blog ''Too Rude" 07/11/2015, it was 7 years to the day when we left the UK for our new life in Australia and on Monday 09/11/2012 it was Gyspy's our number two camper trailers birthday, which we some amazing adventures with, well today its possibly the biggest celebration today 12th November was the day when we finally arrived in Australia, bright eyes and bushy tailed, and somewhat in shock of what we had done, as the realisation was slowly sinking in, what was ringing in our ears was some people had said, you'll soon be back. We had nothing to prove to anyone except we knew we needed an adventure and Australia was where we were going to get one, ... read more

Well how about this then? 2,555 days ago or seven years ago today we left home, on a rainy Friday at Heathrow airport, en route to an exciting new adventure in Australia. It’s hard for us to equate or even remember what we have done it has been so huge and then I usually write something like “has it been worth it?” so I won’t! Not this time anyway. I guess when we look back to the series of events that lead us here we have to thank our dear friends Gary and Karen Barber who initially asked us if we wanted to accompany them to Australia for a five week holiday in 2006/7 and that’s when the die was cast for our love for this enormous country. When we lived in the old country we ... read more

Hi All, I appreciate this is our travel blog, but to be fair its also about our new life in Australia, well our life over the last seven years really so I guess this blog is validated. Now we are not what you call “Whingeing Poms” never have, never will as we have adopted this amazing place we now call home and never say, oh we can’t get this or that was better back in the UK, because I don’t think its realistic to do that, my opinion is, if you don't like what you are offered here, go where you can get it some where else and as far as we are concerned we like what we get. Now as you know, one thing Caroline and I love is a good curry and managed to ... read more

Diary of Obligations-25/07/2015 We have been house sitting for the last six months in Banjup on a fantastic 5 acre property, but today is the day we move out. We both agree that it is difficult and hate the moving day as emotionally it is disruptive, but we know it has to be done, its not our house and the owners want it back and that’s fair enough. We have a little advertisement in The Toyota Landcruiser club 4 wheel drive magazine and late last year, I think it was around November) the club had new members who approached us and asked us if we wold be prepared to sit their property whilst they were away travelling for six months and as we had space in our house sitting diary of obligations this house sit was ... read more

The Silver Whisper slipped into Fremantle Harbor on a warm Saturday afternoon. Freo, as it is called locally, is a busy place on summer weekends with all the boaters out enjoying the blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Also, the markets are open on the weekends and it is a favored getaway for the Perth residents. Our cruising friend Ann picked us up and took us on a drive along the Swan River which stretches from the ocean up to the city of Perth. The western outpost is one of our favorite cities in Australia. It is also the fastest growing metropolis and probably the wealthiest. The export of minerals and wheat generates most of the income. The city is separated from the rest of Australia by thousands of miles of bush land. Western Australians tend ... read more

The Big Six-0 It would be fair to say that I continually wish my life away, why? Well we are always doing something or going somewhere, so once an event has been completed and we are on the way home, I am excited to be thinking of the next forth coming adventure. We have only been back at work for two weeks after the most amazing Christmas get away to the awesomely beautiful Cape Arid and once we were back and all the chores were done like bedding washed and so on, and Roobie prepared we were on our way again, for this weekend, that we are calling the Big Six-O. We have had three birthdays within our little group in the last week, firstly Peter Walker on the 11th, then Karen on the 14th and ... read more
