Hi all, We'll try and summerize in this blog our stay in Sydney (which will be probably quite difficult) . We'll start by telling you that our luck with the weather has probably ended since we were in Sydney in one of it's most raining storms . We saw some notes about it even in Israeli web sites but they had here ~100 mm of rain in 3 days, Roads fell apart, 7 people got killed, shipd were stuck in the sea but above all that a young, nice, (funny?) couple from Israel coudln't do all that he planned . We arrived here on last Monday . We're stayying not far from Bondi beach (which should pay Arnona to the Israel government since there are so many Isralies here) . We took a nice walk ... read more

I didn't want to leave Sydney, so I didn'tDoug Pickles I’m sure it won’t come as a surprise to you when I say that Sydney is well known as one of the most beautiful cities on earth situated on a dramatic natural harbour with a fabulous year-round climate with activities and cuisine to suit every taste. But you do need to come here to see it with your own eyes and truly believe it and, thanks to my host and hostess Rory and Julie-Anne, I have just spent a very memorable five days falling in love with this paradise city. In true Sydney style, activity has been the order of every day. Day one was a walking tour of the historic Rocks district and a customary visit to a wildlife centre to marvel at the koalas, ... read more

So lets begin with the job situation, an up and down affair this one, recent weeks have had me worrying I made the wrong call originally. I wasnt really interested in OZ again after 5 months here last time (hey to my ex travelling boys by the way)(this will make no sense ... read more

Hello friends, family, countrymen, commrades etc, its new blog time, this one will cover 3 weeks, not a massive amount has happened but it includes Julie arriving, us getting jobs (and for some-subsequently quitting them), lots of pointless packing of backpacks, paddys day and trips to the tower and cinema, get a cuppa though, its gonna take a while..I can feel you breathless with anxiety so I shall get straight into it.. So first up lets us get into the arrival of a new character in this epic play(for the record, in the event of my demise Tom Cruise is to play me in the movie-we are identical right?!), the other half of Andy, the new woman of the house and heir to the Sheiks throne-Julie, aka Jules! She arrived on Thursday 8th so has been ... read more

Well then, been here in Oz a year now pretty much and all's still going well. Finally moved out of 71 Old South Head Road and got me own flat with me mate Ivan and job's still going fine, just thought I'd give ya a quick update on what I've been doing in the past few months. Last time I did one of these things me Mum had just gone back to England and Olivia had completely fucked me hair up so I looked like Vanilla Ice so that was just before Christams, hmmm... For my birthday in December my Dad paid for me to go diving with sharks just off Maroubra beach which was quality but unfortunately I've not got any pics from that yet, still haven't finished using the underwater disposable camera I used ... read more

Hi people, you wait 3 weeks on the edge of your seat for a blog and then 2 come along in a week, very bus like! I had to blog this one though, so many pictures to show, oh yes we met the legend that is Alf Stewart, Toadie (yawn I've already met him before, we're like, best mates or something!) and Steph-hotter in the flesh than on TV which was a bit weird! Now the natural question is, what in Lords name was Alf Stewart, the Home and Away star and rival of Neighbours, doing at a Neighbours night. I don't know the answer, he was just there, and we were excited like school kids that he was, seriously it was embarassing. The guy was awesome though and even had a brief chat to us ... read more

Hey everyone, update time-its been 2 whole weeks! It has now also passed the one month mark since I have been away, don't know about you lot but its flown by for me. This blog will be about the last week in Sydney centre and our first week in our new home in Bondi, and its basically a case of new home but same old story! Too much lazing about, drinking and hangovers and not enough finding of jobs. In fact right now I have logged on to look for a job on the net, and yet here I am completing a brilliant aversion tactic in writing my blog-but hey I can't keep my loyal fans waiting right?! These blogs are more anticipated than the next Harry Potter book! (oh and yes I will be buying ... read more

Just finished two books, A Year In The Merde (lame, much fabricated account of some english guy moving to Paris and observing how fucked up french girls are, making the most lame attempts at droll humour ever) and The Motorcycle Diaries, the diaries of Ernesto Che Guevara and his buddy as they biked over South America. A lot of the places they visited and accounted, I will be going to. I loved the book (it's my favourite type of book after all - the biography). I think Guevara is a natural and fluid writer, obviously taken with what he sees, his observations of poverty and politics across the continent obviously his formative years in terms of what he became. His comments are so plainly made, the subject matter is centre stage instead of flowery or patronising ... read more
