For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to go on a cross-country road trip. My love for the open road began when I was young. As a child of the ‘70s, growing up in Los Angeles, my dad would pile the family into our 1970 blue Ford Torino (and later in the big bad Buick, which rode like a marshmallow) and we’d take off to Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe, the Central Coast of California, San Francisco, Las Vegas, wherever. I’m now living my dream and am on a three-week road trip from Seattle to Savannah and back.
