This will be short and sweet. Having a great time here. Learning lots about bears and taking lots of photos. Great group of photographers in our workshop. We start at 6 am and end at dark. Short break in the middle of the day, but usually uploading images to computer, etc. Here are a couple of images I worked on today. More when I have time. Believe it or not, I've actually been 'cooling my jets' since I arrived in Orr yesterday. I haven't left the campground, although I'm planning a trip 'into town' (about 7 miles) in a bit to check out the area. Other than being a very windy day, it's a nice summer day here. Some clouds are rolling in, but it's low humidity and 70 degrees. I have windows and the door open in the RV and the AC is off. Hope I can bring some of this weather home with me! I spent the morning reviewing images I've taken with my newest lens - a fisheye - during the trip. I did some basic editing. A few are HDR merge of 3 images to get the complete range of light. Greetings from the land of 10,000 lakes - Minnesota. Actually I learned there are closer to 12,000 lakes of at least 10 acres (back in NC I think those 10 acre 'lakes' would probably be called a pond) and around 15,000 if you count those smaller than 10 acres. Anyway... I'm settled in for a week here in Orr, MN. It was an easy 125 mile drive today. I delayed my departure and waited until some early morning thunderstorms passed. In Duluth, I stopped to buy a computer cable I inadvertently left at home. I could have made do without it, but it will greatly assist in simplifying my redundant backups I do on the road.
