I took a cruise to Cozumel and Progesso in Mexico. While in Progresso I headed to the Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza. The ruins were wonderful. I was able to see the Pyramid, the Ball Court, and several places where men where sacrificed to the gods. Enjoy the photos and thanks for stopping by. ... read more

Hello again The webblogg was so long so we decided to break it up in two. One day we went to an old farm. They said it was a Hacienda. But they can't fool us. We know a farm when we see one. This farm was abandoned many years ago and was now a museum. They used to grow a plant there called Henequen. It is a funny looking plant that we have never seen before. Mum and dad had not seen those before either. The look a little like an umbrella, don't they? A few days later we went to another abandoned farm. Here they have started a little tourist business. On the old farm there are three cenotes, small freshwater ponds. They have a little train drawn by a horse that took us around ... read more

The day went on quite chilled, everything seemed normal and i had no idea what was gonna happen that night. We met at the hostel: Felipe, Christian, Lori and Liz. after going to McDonalds (because liz didn't like too much the tacos) we went to a taqueria. Finally i convinced her to try the pastor tacos, which she loved. I bet she regrets going to McShit in the first place. We ate and left to the zocalo, where there was a huge improvissed market. we didnt buy anything. I tried and take them to an underground bar i knew a few days before when i was chilling with some crack smokers at the zocalo, introduced to me by Pilar. It was closed, but in the way we heard the noise of a concert, so we decide ... read more

Hey Everyone, How is everyone doing on this fine day? I am doing super. Why you might ask. Well today is my first day of vacation. I am so excited !! I won't have to go back to school until January 8th, 2007! I still didn't get my gift from the Yankee Swap but oh well. I am too happy and nothing is going to make me upset or sad. Let me catch you up with my life so far. ¨ Monday Night Monday night was pretty awesome. I didn't go to the concert because my friend never called me. Big shock, I know. I am working on accepting that is how people here are. They are always late or sometimes just don't call and/or show up. I am super compulsive about that type of stuff. ... read more

Hi everybody Our parents, Emma and Ake, were kind enough to bring us to Mexico last summer and we are going to tell you a little about that. First we flew from Stockholm to Philadelphia in USA. We then flew over Greenland. But that is a silly name for that island because it is not green at all. It is all white! It looks cold to us. We prefer warmer climate. A few hours later we arrived in Mexico. Mexico is warmer than Greenland. First day we went to the beach. Looks nice, doesn't it? Good drinks, sandy beaches and warm! We like that. After the beach in Cancun we went south to Playa del Carmen to look for cenotes. Cenotes are small lakes or pools that you can find all over the Yucatan peninsula. The ... read more

Dear god, Mexico City is huge! We've been here for four days, and we've seen maybe 5% of it. From what I can tell, the city is infinite... Our first hour here was very eventful -- in a bad way. Both of us were pick-pocketed. We were waiting at the subway station, travelling from the airport to our hostel in the Centro Historico. The station was pretty jammed and we were in the middle of the crowd. When the train arrived, there was a crush of people exiting the train while we scrambled to make it on. We were unsuccessful getting on, and as the train left my brother pointed to my wallet chain. It was hanging from my belt loop, neatly cut with the wallet gone. Then he noticed his was gone from his front ... read more

Previously on the blog - after being a professional tourist for a week and a half, I decide it´s time for a good sit. How do from Quintana Roo. After deciding I needed a bit of r ´n´ r, I consulted the trusty guide book for a location. I wanted open the door - BEACH, open the window - BEACH, open the wardrobe - BEACH (c) Lenny Henry mid-80s. Well, maybe not beach in the wardrobe. A little place caught my eye and, when I translated the name of the place, I knew it was the one. A short ferry ride off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula is a small island called Isla Mujeres - Women Island. It is in the state of Quintana Roo, which now means I know three words ending in roo ... read more

¡Hola mis amigos! I had a very busy weekend! Friday On Friday, I had the day off from school. A very nice break I must say. I was online and my friend, Gilberto, invited me to a play at his acting school. It was a really beautiful play. Its called Jesús el Hombre Luz or Jesus the man of light. As you can guess, it was about Jesus's life. It had dancing, singing, and acting. I was really just awesome. I left for my café at 6 because my friend (well actually no one) didn't know where my house was. We met his brother at an ice cream shop and then we were off to the play. It didn't take to long because we took a taxi. The play ended around 10-10:30ish. After the play we ... read more
