Need help deciding which pass to get! Suggestions from anyone who's had experience Interrailing appreciated!
Hello. I'm planning a month long (possibly longer) trip to continental Europe in June. I'm having trouble deciding between the month long global pass and the one that lets you do 10 days in 22 days (i'm under 26). I find the 22 day one a little restrictive (especially with regards to night trains) but the price difference between the 2 is rather substantial.
Could anyone who's Interrailed before provide some suggestions and tell me about your experiences? I'm also a little concerned about supplements and extra/hidden charges as I'm on a rather tight budget. Also, are night trains worth paying for to avoid accommodation costs?
I'd like to see as many cities as possible but would rather spend a few days to see a city well than hop from one city to another every other day. Essentially, my problem is this: the 10 in 22 day pass essentially means you have you travel every 2 days, and the month long pass affords a lot more flexibility, but the less you travel, the less it justifies its cost.
Help! ;0
Reply to this I am also looking into this aswell, though i was hopin to travel for more than 1month in europe. From my understanding i would go for the continuous passes, as it is completely flexible and you're not really tied down to any dates.
I'm not too sure on how many countries i would like to visit so at the moment its still a idea stage. What countries you thinkin bout going to?
I went to the Eurail website site and there's a 3month pass for ~£900.
I was actually on a search for post that shares their experience bout inter rail and eurail. Then I came across you good self.
I'll come back here IF i discover something or if you discover something 😊
Reply to this cool. im not terribly sure either, but the tentative plan is to fly into berlin and then go around easternish europe (prague vienna bratislava maybe croatia and slovenia) then going to italy then southern france.
what i'd like to know is wheather the passes are even worth it over single trip tickets because ive heard mixed opinions. if single trips cost only a little more i'd rather do that cos it offers the ultimate flexibility and you don't feel as if you're being 'forced' to leave any one place too soon.

found this link while i was huntin about. From what I read its pretty useful and biased in sayin how awesome trains are than any other form of transport. lol
Reply to this hmm do you know where I can find approximate prices for single trip tickets b/w european cities (if you were to buy on the spot at the station)? The company websites for the individual countries are not very helpful and often do not quote prices or only quote prices for online bookings
Reply to this yeah i was lookin for prices for individual stops but i cant find anything the site that seat61 reconmemended weren't very helpful. If you find ticket prices post it up or if i find anything i'll get back to ya aswell ; )
