Hello again! Just a quick post to say I've packed Bertha up all except for fresh food which I shall do early in the morning. Setting the alarm for 04.00 so up with the sun tomorrow and will aim to get on the road by 05.00 and join the VW convoy all heading for the Pod. So exciting :)) dear Reader and the weather forecast for tomorrow is excellent. Not so good for Saturday so will take rain ponchos and Wellies. Good evening Just a quick note to say after much deliberation we have decided on the name of Bertha as she is bigger than the usual t4's (and did I mention far more luxurious? Lol) so (big) Bertha it is. I have been planning some trips today and am also preparing all of the items rescued from Fleur before she left me, ready to be installed in their new places in Bertha. I am going to get some decals at Bug Jam as I want her name and also I want 'Starlight Canonball' on her too. You may be wondering why on earth I should want this to go on her as well, and you would be forgiven if you are thinking I've actually lost my marbles lol. April the 1st finally arrived and after tearful goodbyes (Tina had said her goodbyes the day before) we set off to Kettering station excited & nervous, but overall more than ready to get the travelling started. Travelling light was the plan but we still seemed to have heavy bags and every imaginable travel accessory possible. If it said we needed it in the book then Tina bought it. If you add to that Mrs B's egg sandwiches then we were well laden as we boarded the train to St Pancras. After blowing half of our years budget on a cup of tea in St Pancras (in bowls!) we boarded the Eurostar destination Brussels. 1st GOLD Briefing Weekend We have just come back from our first briefing weekend in Kettering, Northamptonshire which was great fun! This is the first time we have been together as a group and was great getting to know each other better. The weather was crazy on the day we arrived; and we all had to struggle through the snow to reach the John Lowther Centre, but we made it, and in fact made the most of the snow over the weekend with outside games and snowball fights.
