Hi Thursday 5 February. 7.3ppm and in the bar area, with music on, but not to bad. Up late as had a rough night as seemed to wake with all the noises, which I usually do not, so it can only improve. No rush to get up anyway. A bit of retail shopping then over the bridge to the large shopping mall as decided to celebrate Waitangi Day with a meal out. Have now been in Portugal for nearly a month and only been out for soups ....... royal is on the radio at present yes by Lorde.. So got there about 1PM ...had fish with small boiled potatoes, carrots, beans and cabbage. Bread and butter with a glass of red wine followed by chocolate brownie and ice cream then a coffee to finish. So yes ... read more

Hi. 4 February 7.30PM. Oh what a difference a day makes. Today did yesterday walk in reverse and was great as usual. This time the hat to keep the sun out of my eyes while yesterday it was for the rain for some of the day. Was able to see more and stand up straight and not against the wind. But it is the Atlantic ocean after all. Nearly brought a jacket from zara but might get it ttomorrow .. will see. Aiming to leave Porto next week so need to find out about buses tomorrow. The beach front walk in popular in the afternoon... The good weather brings people out and about. Finished The hobbit last night so may and try to download some free audio books. Will see how I go. Hi 7PM and in the kitchen today as Guppy needs to be charged and all the other plugs Srebrenica busy. After my blog will go upstairs and charge him but not sure if Google is working up there today. Only three seasons today autumn, winter and spring..... Breakfast then found a market, seemed to be mainly birds , cages and food... and mostly males buying.. . Lots of the little birds..... some gold fish as well. Then to the cathedral and some good singing... Then over the bridge to the monastery... was monks NoW The army has 90 percent of it. Then along the river to the Atlantic ocean. Good and safe walking route all the way. Plenty of people also out walking ..... Hi. 8.30PM and in the bar....... kitchen area. The sausage I cooked this morning was quiet nice.... just hope I cooked it enough. . so far so good. ... four seasons in one day. .. left and it was 13 degrees according to the chemist down the road... some of them have date time and temperature out side in a green flashing square. ... and 7 degrees when I came home at 8PM. Found a local market with fresh fish , vegetables etc.. then to Mass at 11am.... Then walked over the bridge to head up the hill to a very large shopping area... New area so about 5 floors of everything you would want.... happened to watch omega of the final of the womens tennis from Australia...... well the tie breaker so that was good ... read more

Hi 8.45PM and here in Porto On third floor ... attic .... my feet touch the ceiling, so must remember to not knock my head too much. About 10 in the room, but warm and a good blanket and not a bunk, so has a lot going for it. Two nights in Fatima, my own room with balcony overlooking a park and five minutes walk away from the nes church. As winter time they use one of through chapels under the main church...... holds about 400 people ... a female with a good voice yesterday,, similar to the ones at Santiago and Lisbon, and then today a priest also with a good voice.... helps to keep the church goers in tune..... most churches I have been when singing has happened it has been good..
