Arrived in Hawaii a few days ago, woke up in Fiji at 9 am. Was in the hostel in Hawaii before 10am the same day, gotta love the 22 hour time difference for a 5 hour flight. My goodness Americans are dramatic, getting through the airport was a mission on zero sleep. They really should chillax more. Well, booked into this hostel for the entire 8 days. Not really what I wanted to do but not much of a choice when you have little cash, no credit card and everywhere is booked for the 4th. Not really been doing too much, I'm still and I think will forever be on Fiji time. Hawaii is beaches are meant to be paradise, I've seen a lot better. The surf looks amazing though, shame I'm not good at it. ... read more

Bula. There's two time zones in Fiji. Fiji time and no Fiji time. The later basically means whatever you're waiting for may turn up near the desired time. I can just about manage to keep up with the hecticness of it all, it's all very stressfull. Been in Fiji for ten days, done quite a bit, seen a lot, meet loads of cool people, had a lot of fun. Just split up with my ol' mucker Andy. Been travelling with him on and off for about 6 weeks, sad to see him sail into the sunset but will hopefully be living with him in the big smoke in a few months. Sweet as. Anyway will give a quick run down of what I've been up to, pretty sure I have forgotten a lot of it but ... read more

Jumped out of an aeroplane at 15000ft today. Nick and I went skydiving today. We arrived at the airfield and saw the smallest plane in the world. That's when it all went a bit quite. There was one other guy in the bus, he was diving from a mere 12000ft we recieved gasps when we went straight for the highest 15000ft which is apparently illegal in the UK and most other countries. We got in the tiny plane I had to sit on my dude's lap and nick on his dude's then there was JUST enough room for the cameraman. It was still very cozy. We got to 5000ft and everything was tiny. My dude then said this is where we would open the shoot. We were level with the clouds. Another 10,000 ft and we ... read more

As always I have done quite a lot since the last update. We got the ferry over from Picton to Wellington. Wellington is the first real city we have seen in New Zealand. There was buildings over 2 stories and everything!! We hastily moved on from these very un-kiwi place and trundled up to Panaramrorororo where we played for a while and went to the cinema. Hmm. Then we went to Whakapap to see mount doom (L.O.T.R.) and visit their national park. Next was lake Taupo which apparently has th e best trout fishing in the world, thanks Ed. It was formed by the biggest volcanic erruption ever recorded and left a huge crator..Obviously didn't do it as don't have two cents to rub together at the moment. Did book a sky dive in Roturua for ... read more

Just published another blog, so press previous entry to read that one first. Yesterday we dropped off our campervan Vicki. They were not too impressed by our crash and it cost me and andy $162.50 each. Balls. We left Queenstown at 6am, after a night out. It was not a fun drive and Andy and I struggelled being the only drivers. We arrived safely (rather supprisingly - that drive is probably the most dangerous thing we did in NZ), stopping a few times on the way and simply being stunned by how beautiful new zealand really is. After cleanign and dropping Vicki off, we watched the rugby and had an early night. We needed it. Actually before then i made the mistake of checking my bank balance. Not good. Not only that I noticed that someone ... read more

So today me, Nick and Andy got up early and went on the flybywire, as reccomended by alien girl. Fly by Wire is decribed as flying a go kart. You are strapped into a wire 'airplane' with a motor on the back. You are then dragged up a cliff and fly through the valley a few times. Pretty fun, you can go pretty fast and pretty high, was fun but not quite the adrenaline hit the other things have been. The afternoon we went to the canyon swing. The world's biggest swing. This experience is completly different from the bungees. Purely because of the staff, they are not comforting or helpfull. They are cruel and want to make you as nervous as possible! I was being my usual smartmouthed self and when they said something about ... read more

Da blog has lost a bit of steam at the moment, but I just have done so much lately it's been hard to find the time to write it all. I will edit the previous post to explain what I've been doing soon. We are now in Queenstown. This is the most beautiful 'city' i have ever been to. You are surrounded by mountains and lakes. Stunning. Truely unbelievable. I drove the campervan down from wanaka on Saturday night, foot never leaving the floor Vicki (our can) bottoms out at 100-120 and the record is 150 down a mountain. We arrived in record time, stopped at a bottle shop and headed to acamp site. As we've been warned not to free camp in QT and got moved on by 'Gary from the council' the night before ... read more

Haven't updated in a few days as been pretty busy. Will give a brief rundown of events. Flew into Christchurch on Tuesday. Wandered around and booked the first hostel I saw. Really nice hostel met a guy called Andy we got on pretty well so thought we'd get a campervan to do New Zealand in! He met someone in Auckland for about a day who expressed an interest so we had three. Later we met a couple in the bar who already had a van so we had a convoy now! We watched an entertianier in the bar for a few hours - he was pretty good and do loads of strange tricks and stuff. Then watched a live band there, it is good I found a good hostel as Christcurch is pretty quite and it ... read more

Okay, it wasn't Engadine it was seven mile beach - the town has a population of 500 so it's not on this map thingy. Anyway, spent the last two days hitting the waves, well the waves were hitting me. In the face, repeatedly and hard. If you haven't guessed I went to surf camp. Damn I sound like an american brat - surf camp (math camp was full). For the first two hours I loved it, the waves are so much bigger than I've seen and soooo powerful. I couldn't stand but I could catch the waves no problem and have fun trying to stand then wiping out spectacuarly. I tired myself out and my nose and throat started to burn pretty bad. Next two hours was more of the same, the waves fricking hurt. Expcially ... read more
