There are three wants which never can be satisfied: that of the rich, who wants something more; that of the sick, who wants something different; and that of the traveler, who says, "Anywhere but here." Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not. A good traveler has no well-defined plan and is not intent on arriving. He who travels much comes to know more than he who lives long. You need a change of soul rather than a change of climate. I never travel without my diary.
