For everone who knows me I am sorry to have to do this but for people who dont this is me;
I am 24 and I am 5 weeks for embarking on my lifelong dream; to go travelling the world; as I said I leave on jan 17th 2009 - I fly to beijing where we stay until the 6th Feb where we join a party of about 16 and make our way through China, Vietnam, Cambodia and into Thailand on 2nd April. We then have 6 weeks there on our own and will be joined by another friend; we then join another group on 15th may that will take us through Thailand, Malysia and into Singapore. We have 4 days there and on into Perth, Australia on 4th June. Once there myself and Gerard will head onto Melbourne the back end of June to start work in one of the many hospitals; Lara and Marie will continue there travells round the big country down under.
I hope you all enjoy our blog and if you have any comments please feel free to make them; especially from friends and family; it will be a nice suprise.
To all my family; I love you all dearly and I hope this next year passes you very well and you achieve or get closer to your dreams; I will be thinking about you and I hope through my blog and pictures you can enjoy some of the wonders of the world with me.
To all my friends; you should of came with me.....but again I hope you well and enjoy the pics.
Remember if you planning a holiday; think where we are and maybe, just maybe we will see you in some random country

hello everyone!!! just to let you know i am well; i entered thailand on the 2nd; had a few days in bankgog and headed down to an island call ko chang!!! i was going up north but theres 3 festivals going on at the moment and getting transport south or north was so expensive; so we decided on a remote island to chill out on; which i am very happy with!!! its small; got massive forests you can hike in; big cliffs if you need it and white sand blue sea beaches; what more could a woman want haha!!!! this comps not letting me upload pics so il have to come back with that one!!! i return to the mainland on the 11th and have another night in bangkok and fly down to phuket on the ... read more

well well well; it has finally been working for me!!! im gonna do this really quickly as one i dont have my diary with me so i cant say exactly where i have been, two id have sooooo much to say and three i dont have my card reader with me so i will have to do pics another day!!! prob in about 4 days time as im not so sure the place we go to in the morning willl have internet!! well my big stories are; the leg is all healed now; and not even really a scar to prove it was even there (silly sunshine) but the other news was we had a home stay and it was in the middle of nowhere and it was dirt tracks; it looked like something out of ... read more

hey everyone just a note to say i am safe and well in Xian; well were actually leaving tonight for shanghai; we bound a 17 hour overnight train and get in about 11.30am we went to the great wal on monday and walked for about 10km; some parts of the wal were so steep and uneven; it so woundnt get away with the health and saftey in englang; it was sheer drops down the mountains at some points; we were so lucky coz the sky was so clear and warm; we al had loads of layers on and we ended up shreading them as we went along; we stopped half way and had lunch on the wall; it was amazing; we didnt pass another sole; 15 people on the wall alone; bril; its amazing and hard ... read more

hello all!!! hope everyone is well; we are all ok here; totally loving beijing and the life here; even thinking of coming back and doing a chinese course and getting into the health market; need to look into it further thou so no rash decisions yet!!! visited the temple of heaven the other day; again like all the temples it is stunning but what else can u expect from this lovely country; there was local people playing music everywhere and they were dancing, they were also doing thai chi which me and lara joined in (badly), they were all singing under this pagoda; you just got this sense of such a warm welcoming community; i love it!!!!!!!!!! we again have had a few quite days; lara has something on her foot which is making it hard ... read more

happy new chinese year!!!!! well not been talkative in the past few days but we have ben very busy here; went to a park called Beihai Park; its a man made lake made not too far from the palace museum with a huge white pagoda on the top where you can walk up and get a brill view of the city; again it was cold but amazing; walked there and back and it only took aboutn 45 minutes; you can get the sub everywhere but were vouching for walking or biking; its so nice why not!!! we then had a lazy day coz we were up drinking until 6 am; i actually had one bottle of beer (mum are you proud) its so much fun with the big group of us together. we then went to ... read more

well day 6 or something and we have had to do 2 days in the forbidden city coz it is soooooo big; due to it being low season as well its only open to 3.30; WOW!!!! is pretty much all i can say; you see it in the pics and it looks amazing but when you see if for real your taken away by its being; its so big, detailed, pretty, grand and symetrical (dad you'd love it) its really good coz its not that busy either; its mainly local people who are on their holidays for the new year on the 26th; got some amazing pics but im having probs uploading them so il try my best for you all; yesterday wasnt too bad coz the waether was normal; sitting at 0 but today the ... read more

hello all!!! well only been here for a few days but so mny things to say; lara and i when at newcastle got a final call for our flight coz we were late on checking in; then in heathrow we met up with marie and there was well over 100 met police there and eventually turned out there was this big old protesst for the third runway being built and there was naked bodies everywhere; we met up with a woman and her daughter (10 years old) they were going travelling for 4 months 9(egypt then into cambodia and thailand); we then checked into our flight and again had the final call for us; we had to get the underground to our gate number which we didnt realise; the fight was actually ok; slept for a ... read more

Hello all; well its now only 13 days away and im starting to get itchy feet and just want to go!!! i still dont have my passport back from my china visa yet and i have to send it off again for thai visa...please hurry up!!!! blooming xmas postal block!! well went for a lovely walk today with my mum auntie uncle 2 cousins and 2 pooches; from Seberham to Caldbeck, took about 3 1/2 hours but we had a stop half way. iv put come pics on here but its my way of finding my way round this site before i go and having pic on here so i can look at my family while im away. hope you enjoy them and the next time you here from me il hopefully be away in china. ... read more
