wow has it really been two weeks since i last updated you all. i have been away from computers or too busy to sit and write about all the fun i have been having. last time i wrote i was in las pinitas nicarauga in the mangrove tour. 12/3 so after that me and my travel buddies went back to leon and stayed in a hostel called la tortuga. they have free pancakes coffee, internet and it is only six a nite. leon is a cool town, but i have seen lots of central american towns. i did find some good [View Full Entry]

up early to kayak and we were all so tired. ate bfast at boca de oro and then off in the kayks. it was so hot. saw some birds, but no crocs. walked a lil on a trail, but the mosquitos were so bad that we left. back in the kayaks and luis fell over in his into this swamp water. then we went to a beach where there was a guy who raises sea turtles in the sang. he had like 50 in 2 buckets and expected 1000. the beach was so nice. we checked out and gor back to [View Full Entry]

took forever to get going this morning after a late nite. left the bigfoot for las penitas to stay at another oasis on the beach. very nice place. sat on the beach. swan, walked on the beach and saw a very beautiful sunset. we made dinner of spagetti in my lil camp kitchen and it turned out very good. played cards and then watched into the wild on the luis´computer. very chill place. woke up early for a great run on the beach. did pushups and ran through the surf all while working on my tan. luis went back to leon for money. lara and i went for a bike ride to the next town on bikes with no brakes. very nice beach. also had ice cream and a capiccino shake. came back to the oasis and saw that my finish friends were staying there as well. so we had food together and then me jenna, mina and molina walked on the beach all the way to past where i ran. watched the sunset [View Full Entry]

up early again and went for 40 min swim. was so tired. had good buffet and packed xtra for lunch. travelled to leon on microbus after a full day on the water and a good sunburn on the legs. stayed in the bigfoot hostel which was very chill. went to a disco called O2. it was so hot in there. stayed out till around 2am dancing. met 2 nice ladies from finland named mina and molina. had a nica girl ask me to be her boyfriend, but i think it would have cost me dinero. she would up w a guy [View Full Entry]

woke up way too early and way too tired.had bfast at nice euro cafe. took bus to masaya market and bought a bag, shirt and lil wallet. went to craters edge and spent the afternoon in the sun on a tube. had great dinner and saw a big tarantula that night. went nite swimming too in the warm water. woke up early and read and drank coffee and then went for a run w my new travel buddy jenna from indiana. she got cramps so we didnt finish. caught a bus to lago de apoyo which was so nice. stayed for the day at a place called the craters edge. the lago had very clear and warm water and was formed in an old volcano. decided we will go there tomorrow to stay the night. finally starting to get a tan! they had kayaks, tubes, a float dock, good food. went back to the oasis and then walked around for [View Full Entry]

so this morning it was the howler monkeys and birds that woke us up, not the local workers. tried to sleep in the hammock, but to no avail. luis set up the van and we also have the belgium couple coming with us in the van. got to the dock and on the boat and met a woman named freuke from holland who told me good things about san juan del sur. sometimes there is just too much information to process and too many places to consider to go and definately not enough time. so then we took a taxi and [View Full Entry]

got woken up by the locals at 530. and so i got up and got fed and ready for the hike. our guide, guille en espanol, was named freddy and a couple from holland were w us named fonz and margarite. fonz was slow and he turned around w his wife just after mid point. freddy spoke no english, but it was good practice for my spanish. freddy said it would take an hour and half from where we were from, but when they left we made it up in 40 minutes. there was no view because of the clouds and [View Full Entry]

so i was up again early at 530 to make coffee, mucho gusto, pack, no me gusto and catch the bus at 8am. met a couple from estonia and talked with them the whole time. they were named maris and ago. we waited in line at the border and the power was out so it moved very slowly. maris and ago left because it was just a day trip. saw pasquel again and he paid for a nice bus and it even had to wait. finally the power came on and i got thru after 3 and a half hours. took [View Full Entry]
