Selam to everybody. We rented a car with driver from Semporna to Sepilok-300 Km( RM 260). We tried to make the way in six hours, but because of the two flat tires we were late . Fortunately we were able to catch the second feeding time 15.00 hours at the Orang Utans Reabilitation Center. The first feeding is at 11.00 AM. Out of this times it may be hard to observe the orang utans. Our driver Omar was polite enough , he waited us hours at the sanctuary. Then we drew to Sandakan 30Km. We spent the night at Hotel London (RM 65 B&B) and had seafood diner outside the town 10 Km away , Ocean King Seafood Restaurant . The next morning we travelled to Kota Kinabalu ( KK) by bus. ... read more

We spent one night at Koh Lanta ( Nature Beach Resort on Klong Nin Beach, 700 THB). We had a nice dinner on the beach at the Miami Beach Restaurant. The next morning we started to Koh Lipe by boat. The boat passed from the North narrow viewfull riverlike passage towards the mainland. We paid for this six hours boat journey 1500 THB, each. On the way to Hat Yai we stopped at Koh Ngan and Koh Mook, beautifull islands. We could only take pictures from the boat. At Hat Yai in the noon time we changed to a smaller boat. There is no pier at these islands +Koh Lipe. Therefore , longtail boats take us to the land. We have found a nice resort bungalow just at the Pattaya Beach( Green View Garden Resort, 800 ... read more

We arrived at Phuket after fifteen hours of hard but very joyfull journey by sleeping boat and by bus. We directly settled in the same same hotel we have visited before ( Little Mermaid Hotel ). Almost the prises are same same as last year. We visited six main beaches; Karon, Kata, Kata Noi, Surin, Kamala and we visited Patong Beach at night to enjoy the crazy night life, not for families especially. Sometimes it was rainy . We enjoyed swimming in the warm water under the rain. We also visited Central Festival Shopping Center at the town. Breakfast five star at the hotel (free), lunch usually at street stalls and dinner at nice restaurants Tomorrow we are planning to go to Phi Phi Islands and the next day we will sail for Koh Lanta. From Koh Lanta we made Trang by minibus employing ferry two times in three hours. Having lunch there we transferred to another minibus and travelled another three hours for Hat Yai. Instead of 3 o’clock they put us to another minibus at 5 pm to Penang. At around 7 pm we were at the border under heavy rain. Almost no formalities at the border. We reached Penang at 10 pm in George Town. George Town is old part of Penang Island where one can feel the British colonial. Malaysia has developed a lot. It is like a western country with her highways, cars, buses. But the religion effect is dominant. In George Town we stayed at Mingood Hotel a little bit expensive ( 80 RM including breakfast and Wi-fi at room) but all the facilities provided. ... read more

We were planning to go to The Little Mermaid Hotel on Kata Beach. At the minibus a Swedish lady recommended us the same hotel but she insisted that the hotel was on Karon Beach. By her guidance we dropped at Karon Beach. At the first glance we didn’t like the hotel. But we stayed one week at that hotel and it was perfect with western management. Most of the guests were from Scandinavian countries. We paid 695 TBaht per night additional 200 TBaht for buffet continental breakfast. The hotel is very near to the beach. Try to prefer the back rooms because the night life lasting until 03 am may not let you sleep. After dining two times outside we decided to have dinners at the hotel, best quality with reasonable price. We strongly recommend this ... read more
