Peacefull Koh Tao

We arrived at Chumpton at 04:00 AM . Found a free Internet and published our first blog there. Having breakfast on the main land we boarded the ship. 2.5 hrs later at 9:30 AM we arrived at Koh Tao. We settled at Seashell Resort ,a simple but nice beach and garden bungalow at Sairee Beach (700THB per night).

We enjoyed the first day at our beach.

The second day we took a snorkling tour around the island. We visited several bays for snorkling, one of the impressive underwater was on Mango Bay . The best place we visited is Nangyuan Island which is few moments sail from Koh Tao. This is our first experience taking pictures underwater (many thanks to our sun in law who provided us with camera housing).

The third day we visited Chalok Baan Kao Bay in the South of the island which didn’t impressed us so much. The sea is very shallow and the very tiny sand makes the water flue.

We spent our last day again at Sairee Beach which we recommend the best one.

The food at Seashell is excellent and cheap especially fresh fruit shakes and BBQ sea food.

Ladyboys are normal part of the life here. Usually young people visit the island.

Now (4th March 2009) we are on the way to Phuket island by night boat and bus. There are about 60 mats and pillows to sleep. It seems that this will be a great adventure for us.
