KOH LIPE- Unforgettable

We spent one night at Koh Lanta ( Nature Beach Resort on Klong Nin Beach, 700 THB). We had a nice dinner on the beach at the Miami Beach Restaurant.

The next morning we started to Koh Lipe by boat. The boat passed from the North narrow viewfull riverlike passage towards the mainland. We paid for this six hours boat journey 1500 THB, each. On the way to Hat Yai we stopped at Koh Ngan and Koh Mook, beautifull islands. We could only take pictures from the boat. At Hat Yai in the noon time we changed to a smaller boat. There is no pier at these islands +Koh Lipe. Therefore , longtail boats take us to the land.

We have found a nice resort bungalow just at the Pattaya Beach( Green View Garden Resort, 800 THB), managed by a young Italian guy, Angelo.

The first day we have discovered the four main beaches, Pattaya, Sunrise, Sunset, Karma .The next day we took a tour to the islands around. The tour was like a dream. We snorkelled at five or six points and had a delicious lunch on a piece of beach on one of the islands. Cengiz prepared our pineapple himself.

One night we watched the wonderfull sunset at the Sunset Beach, the other morning we were at the sunrise on the other side of the island.

We had nice dinners on the beaches. The fish, prawn and squits are the cheapest, 200 THB/kg (6.0 USD/kg).

The island is quiet. No roads, but walking lanes.

At Andaman Sea we have experienced the extreme low and high tide. 3-4 meters difference . You can’t swim early in the morning but you can get into water from your hut at noon time. No bank, no ATM but delicious vegetables and fruits.

The western girls are usually with one piece.

Now we are leaving the beautifull island Koh Lipe by speed boat ( 1050 THB , each) to Langkawi Island, Malaysia.
