We, wife and husband, have decided to travel around the world, after we retired and our lovely dog (Juvi) passed away.

Every year, we spend few months for traveling. We prefer tropic and warm places. For the recent years, we preferred to shorten our travels since we miss our lovely granddaughter.

From San Pedro we took the7:30 ferry to Belizecity and from the pier we got 10:00 o'clock bus to Flores, Guatemala. At the border we paid 18.75 USD for each, exit tax. The trip took almost 6 Hours . We liked the island Flores. The hostel ( Los Amigos) we stayed is for youngs and we felt young enough. Most of the time we had dinner at hostel garden. We tried the street food at the lake side also few times. After four days we travelled to Guatemalacity by night bus, which was very confortable, we arrived early morning when it was still dark. At such a dangerous city we took a taxi to the terminal for collectivo (chiken bus) to Antigua. We enjoyed the one hour trip with local music on the bus and the ... read more

The weather was very cloudy when we landed Cancun Airport. But the next morning we woke up to a sunny day. Took the public bus to the Hotel Zone, which means beaches of Cancun. Enjoyed all the day on the beach and had a nice dinner at down town. The next day we moved to Playa del Carmen by minivan. We stayed four nice days there, usually spending dinners at a bar on Calle 4 between 10 and 15 Avenue run by a German family. He used to offer extra free tekilas when you ask the bill. Then our third stop was Tulum on the same coast. While enjoying the ruins and the best beaches we have ever seen, we took an a day escape to famous ruins of Chichen-Itza and the town Valladolid. The last night ... read more

On arrival to Mexicocity (MC) we took the metro (subway) from very near the airport 2 to our hostel ANYS . Our hostel is close to metro station Sevilla. In MC dominant transportation is the subway . In 8 days we stayed , we rarely used bus. The hostel manager is excellent man. He prepared where to visit each day with detailed recommendations. We mostly obey his plans and enjoyed the city. The Chapultepec Park where the Castle, National Museum and the incredible Antropology Museum is. We were vey tired we left some halls of the Antropology Museum to visit again. We spent one day at Coyoacan where Dolores Almedo Museum- dominantly Diego Rivera And Frida Kahlo's paintings take place. Then we went to Frida Kahlo's house and The Coyoacan Market. When you get out of the train station you see the yellow bus. Free transport to the Golden Temple. Religious songs sang on the bus all the way to the Temple . Free trolley and luggage services at the entrance. Toilets are free. Perhaps the largest kitchen , serves food free for hundred thousand people a day. People work voluteerally at different services of the Temple . By the help of a volunteer guide we took an easy visit to all areas of the Temple . Without guide you have to wait 3 or 5 hours in ques to reach to the main pray hall on the island. The floor is marble and very cold with naked foot. They put walking carpets early in the morning and take them away when the heat of the sun ... read more

The World Heritage, Ajanta and Ellora Caves are real treasurers of India back to 200 BC. Ajanta reflects the Buddist believes and Ellora Budist, Hindu and Jainism. Ellora carved between 350-700 AC. For us the Kailasa Temple is the best. Carved in a monoblock rock. It almost took a century to be finished. We traveled these two sites in two days staying at Government Guest House at Aurangabad. For Ajanta Caves we took a tour from our guest house which lasted whole day. For Ellora we hired a taxi and with the same taxi we reached to Manmad for the train to N. Delhi . Both sides were extremely crowded by the students and local visitors. Kailasa Temple at Ellora may deserve to be in the seven wonders of the World. See you soon for Golden ... read more

Old Goa and Panjim was our Goa cultural visits. Hampi which is in Karnataka took about 8 hours by train from Goa ( Madgoan) . It is one of the largest archaeological and World Heritage Site. To control the people of their kingdoms you feel that their only asset was religion. In more than two thousand years nothing changed. The same thing for the most countries, true. Hampi is impressive religious site, no alcohol, no meat is allowed to drink and eat at the commercial places. Today resting on the Beach .We will leave in few hours for Aurangabad, 9 hours for Mumbai and ... read more

From Kathmandu we flew to Bangalore via Delhi, but unfortunatelly we missed the Bangalore connection by one minute and we flew four hours later. In hurry in Bangalore AirPort we took a taxi to the train station and we hardly caught the night train to Madurai. We spent the next day at Meenakshi Temple and took a half day tour to the other interests. They didn't allow us to take pictures at the Meenakshi Temple. The huge towers with figures on are not temples, only the entrance doors to the temples. The temple is magnificient and the architechnical work seems much more than Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Then we spent a night at Tiger Rezerve Periyar and visited Munnar tea gardens and finished the next day at Kochin. Visited Jew Area with Sinagog and learned that ... read more

Our visit to Nepal is Limited to Kathmandu Valley. Actually young heros trek over white paths of Himalayas with heavy trekking eguipments. Very little has changed since 1972, except the crowd and the traffic. Instead of freak area now developed a commercial zone Thamel. The culture of dirt and bumbing streets are same but ladies ımproved their make up, traditionaly black lines on their eyes. But lovely people trying to help you at all circumstances. Each day we visited one interest. Bhaktapur, Swayambhunath , Boudhanat and Durbar Square. Every night we had delicious dinner at different places in Thamel. While we were visiting Durbar Square Kumari, living Goddess of Nephal people appeared at the window for a few minutes. They didn't allow us to take picture of her. Pictures may describe the rest in Kathmandu Valley. ... read more

The new Mataram Airport at Lombok gave a hot welcome us. By luck we found a new hotel ( Central Inn) which is really centrally located in Sengigi. We enjoyed the place for few days and visited Mataram Town, Kuta Beach and A’an Beach on the South of the island. We spent another day on Coco Beach on the way to Gili Islands pier. We passed to Gili Islands for only two nights to refresh our memories and continue to Bali Island by speed boat. The boat company took us from Padangbai Pier and in one hour we were at our spectacular hotel in Ubud on Monkey Forest Road. Ubud is a lovely town full of art. We enjoyed the dinners at Ibu Rai , historic restaurant of sixties and had a visit to Tegallalang town ... read more
