Today we all left Buffalo and parted separate ways. David and Gwen took the Masts and Kimberly to the airport, and I hit the road due east. I wasn’t able to arrange a place to stay tonight, so I am just heading east and I will stop when I have had enough riding for the day. I think I will end up somewhere near Albany, NY tonight. Who knows, if I am having enough I might head toward Vermont to hit the twisty roads. If anything I will hit the twisties tomorrow! Today has been fairly uneventful. Same-old-same-old ride, stop, ride, [View Full Entry]

Wow, where has the time gone? Sorry I haven’t posted anything for about a week. I have been having the time of my life here in Buffalo! Kyle, Krista, Kayla, and Kimberly came into town last weekend. I have had a blast running around with those guys. As some of you know, Kingdom Bound was this week. That went Sunday night through Wednesday night, and it was sooooooo much fun. We rode on lots of amusement park roller coasters, did some of the water park rides and pools, and went to quite a few concerts. Sunday night we went on some [View Full Entry]

Today Rich and I rode across to Buffalo, and he took of going his separate way. Going through customs was crazy, there were so many people! My cooling fan ran constantly, that is how I can tell how hot the bike is and if it is struggling to keep from overheating. Rich said that because it is a long weekend, everyone and their in-laws is trying to get out of the country to take weekend trips. It was nice having a bike because you can really squeeze into tight spaces between cars. It probably saved us a few minutes, nothing big [View Full Entry]

Today I rode to Niagara Falls, and stayed on the Canadian side. From what I hear it is much nicer on the Canadian side. The falls were pretty cool, and I had someone take a picture of me with the falls in the background just to prove I was there. I can put up with fighting crowds for a little while, but after a couple hours I have usually had enough. I heard the Niagara Parkway up to Niagara on the Lake was a nice ride, so I rode around that area for a while. And when I left and started [View Full Entry]

Me

I know I mentioned this before, but the Penner's are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. That is who I stayed with the last 2 nights, and they referred me to the guy I am staying with tonight. The 3 kids were so much fun, and they had a cat too which as you know is high on my list! Yesterday we got some rain, and therefore I did not get out and do any riding. But I was fortunate enough to get a personal tour of Port Rowan. The kids and Dianna and I took the van [View Full Entry]

I forgot to mention the other night while we were cruising around on the boat, we found some stranded boaters. It wasn’t quite dark yet, but getting very close. Apparently their battery voltage was too low, maybe from running lights and other things too long without running the engine, and they needed a tow. The people that were on the boat with us knew who they were, and towed them across the lake back to their dock. Today was an interesting day, as far as my emotional status goes. I went for another ride with Don (Harley guy); he decided to [View Full Entry]

Last night I stayed with a couple listed in the handy MYW directory. I must admit, I had a great time there! We went over to their son's house for a BBQ, and we just hung out all night. This is a family that hangs out together; everyone from the grandparents to the grandchildren were there. Some of the others swam in the pool (from what I heard, it was a little cold, so I chose not to get in), we played Guitar Hero and Rock Band on the X-box 360, and we just sat around and talked. They live within [View Full Entry]

Last night I stayed with a couple that I found in the MYW directory that I have been using a lot these last couple weeks. They are part of the Missionary church, which I had never heard of or knew much about. I will be attending their church service later this morning. They have 2 church services; the early one is the more traditional service, and the second is the more contemporary style. I will be attending the second service. Last night we had dinner with Rita’s daughter and husband and their 4 kids. They are missionaries in Kenya and they [View Full Entry]

After leaving the upper peninsula of Michigan, I traveled over the bridge that connects to the lower part of the state. This bridge is absolutely amazing! It was so windy going over the bridge that it almost made me uncomfortable at times. It was blowing me around pretty bad, even worse than it was when I was up near Glacier Park. I have never ridden in wind this bad. It made it pretty difficult to enjoy the scenery around me while going over the bridge, but at times I could still catch a small glimpse of my surroundings. Here’s an embarrassing [View Full Entry]

Yesterday was definitely an odd day. I believe I got bit by a bee. Yes bit, not stung. I was riding in town with my visor up, since I love to feel the air on my face. I wear tinted polycarbonate glasses too, just in case larger objects fly right into my eye. Some large bug flew in and hit me in the face, and I thought it might be a bee but I couldn’t feel it crawling around on me. Normally the bugs just hit me and fall off and don’t cause any problems. But on a rare occasion they [View Full Entry]
