Tikal was the crowning achievement for Hannable! We literally conquered a near impossible task of planning, monetary maintenance, and corresponding synchronicities, all coinciding to offer us an adventure of a lifetime! We began our journey from the depths of Mexico at the site, Palenque, in Chiapas. We weren't sure if we would have the resources necessary to continue down into Guatemala, but we made a decision and stuck to it unwaveringly. The journey to Tikal itself was breathtaking to say the least as it involved a four-hour bus ride to a one-hour river ride to another four-hour bus ride to Flores, where we bunked in Guatemala. Flores was a beautiful island located within a massive lake about a two-hours drive from Tikal. Tikal, according to our research and to local word-of-mouth, was the apex of the ... read more

Hannable has been doing some more in depth research within the fields of the Mayan calender and it's astrological followings. We have found our previous knowledge in the astrological realms to have been in correct and have been redirected by some friends here in Playa del Carmen to a website which has proved to be very insightful. Here is the True Hannable astrological readings, taken from the website: www.spacestationplaza.net. Another great website to check out is www.lawoftime.org. Palenque was the culmination of Hannable's Mexico journeys, and was not in the least, anti-climactic. We stayed at a world famous hippie-esque, economic hostel-resort called "El Panchan," that is literally located in the jungle with all matters of bugs, frog-lizard thingamajigs, and of course the howling monkeys with no regard for sleeping cousins at 4am. We also came across a wonderful family of artisans that shared their lives with us and can be found on facebook at (Viodor Shiva). The amount of intellectual and spiritual connection forged between us and this family can only be explained as synchronistic. Some of these ideas include such fringe topics as: Atlantis and Lemuria, the Hollow Earth, free energy, and foods to combat the radiation pummeling North America as we speak. It was nice to have like minds to converse ... read more

Hannable's experience at Coba was antithetical to our previous experience at Tulum! The tallest of structures there were open for the public to climb! There weren't so many tourists! We finally felt a powerful inexplicable "energy!" We also began getting into some of the more fascinating mythology of the ancient Maya, most notably the lore of the "Gigantes" (literal Giants as in 8 to 11 ft. people) Noble had a "psychic" premonition whilst walking the trail to one of the archeological sites at Coba. The experience went as follows: I (Noble) was simply walking down the path to the next set of ruins on our journey. I was thinking about the physical construction of the huge complexes and how it was accomplished. Suddenly, I got an image of a very large brown man holding in one ... read more

Tulum proved to be everything we had heard through the grapevine it would be-- that is, nothing much. The variables that played into this were as follows: 1. Too many tourists! 2. All the ruins were roped off and inaccessible to be experienced in their fullness. 3. The combination of the aforementioned made for an energy and over all feeling of negativity. 4. We began to feel as most of the tourists looked with our cameras and squint-eyed expressions, not able to fully comprehend and take in the grandeur of what we were experiencing. 5. Tulum came off mostly as some novelty. Regardless, we made the best of our excursion by filming scenes with a minimum of tourists. Also, Noble spiced things up a bit by climbing the walls and structures of the few accessible areas ... read more

Some pointers for Washingtinians traveling to Mexico: 1. El Sol is bright down here... plan accordingly or you will be burned whilst simultaneously attracted as a moth to a flame... 2. Pedestrians DO NOT have the right-away... you WILL get hit by a car if you expect it to stop or slow down on account of you crossing the street... 3. DO NOT put toilet paper inside of the toilet... this sounds disconcerting because it is... there will always be a trash can close to the bano for the purposes of toilet paper disposal... 4. ALWAYS have incense and candles readily available for the mysteriously rank smells that drift up from the sinks in your departamento (apartment). 5. Ever heard of water pressure? Mexico has NOT. 6. Butter melts in .29 seconds within removal of the ... read more
