Tulum proved to be everything we had heard through the grapevine it would be-- that is, nothing much. The variables that played into this were as follows:

1. Too many tourists!

2. All the ruins were roped off and inaccessible to be experienced in their fullness.

3. The combination of the aforementioned made for an energy and over all feeling of negativity.

4. We began to feel as most of the tourists looked with our cameras and squint-eyed expressions, not able to fully comprehend and take in the grandeur of what we were experiencing.

5. Tulum came off mostly as some novelty.


Regardless, we made the best of our excursion by filming scenes with a minimum of tourists. Also, Noble spiced things up a bit by climbing the walls and structures of the few accessible areas we were privy to.

Posted here are some researches we have come across pertaining to our thesis of finding connections between all ancient civilizations, particularly Mediterranean and Indian. As well, we will post a link to our youtube website containing our travel music videos!
