I mentionned in the previous post I would have to kill a few hours in various airports. This was the perfect occasion to test my new camera in difficult conditions: low artificial light, light colored walls and sleep deprivation =) It was also a good experience since I find difficult to take close ups shots of people. I just spent 4 fantastic days in Katmandu. When my university friend Michel saw on my facebook profile that I was in Nepal he told me he had family living there and that I was welcome to stay at their house. It's hard to tell but if Varanasi is not the dirtiest city in the word, it must be good second ! It's hard to explain. The old city consists of very narrow streets (less than 2 meters wide). Sick dogs and huge cows wander aimlessly in there, pooing everywhere. The street is covered with some sticky mixture that probably contain every single desease on earth. Khajuraho is famous for its temples. Have you heard of the kamasutra ? Will the temples here are basically a kamasutra in stone :) numerous carving depict daily live as well as erotic sexual positions. Most tourists walk around looking for the most explicit ones (and so did I). By the way, I bought the original version of the kamasutra text and I did not really enjoy reading it. Hey, I'm back. I was sick for a few days... Indian food is tasty (and also spicy sometimes) but can be deadly for your stomach. Anyway, it's all good now :) My camera (nikon P5100) is not working properly so I don't have any photos to upload. I'll probably try to get a new one when I'll get to Thailand. Happy new year ! I arrived in Bombay very early in the morning and began to search for someone who wanted to go to Colaba (the cheap place in town), so we could share the taxi fare. I finaly found a friendly couple from Finland. Most people I talked to were going to Goa for the new year so I decided to give it a go as well. The wind was really strong yesterday and sand would fly everywhere so we all stayed inside for a few hours. When I came back to my hut at about midnight, I had a nasty surprise: there was sand everywhere! Check out the pictures :) Somehow today's weather is fine. ... is not that bad, It's a bit like summer in France :) I decided to get off the beaten track a little bit. I travelled from Cairo to Suez in order to sea the giant boats passing by and then moved on to Nuweiba, a place lost in the Sinai. I have my own hut on the beach (red sea) and a lot of free time.
