Just had a shower after shovelling 4 Tonnes of sheep manure. We staying on an organic (BIO) in a small town South of France called Lasalle, nested in the valley of some beautiful mountain landscape. It's the middle of Autumn so we're surrounded by red, orange, yellow and lots of chataigne (chestnuts)! Here they grow everything you can think of, and they raise sheep, I don't knox exactly how many sheep they have but it's enough to produce 4 tonnes of shit every 2 months. I think I have spent most of my time inFrance kissing people. The hardest part of the whole kissing culture in France is that it changes with each region. 2 in Paris, 4 in Angers and 3 in Lasalle (south of France). I meet the fastest kisser in Angers, Francois' 89 year old grandfather who can exchange 4 kisses with someone (that's on alternating cheeks) in the same time it takes a Parisian to light a cigarette. There are 628 steps to the second level of the Effiel tower. It was 4 euros cheaper than the lift and I needed to work off the croissants, pain aux raisins, crepes, baguettes and fromage that I have been stuffing my face with. Paris is truly an amazing city. I feel like I'm in a movie or have stepped back in time to the days of Renoir. I'm staying in Conflan St Honorine situated on the Siene river just outside Pairs. It is the capital of houseboats. New York! New York! The land of supersize me. Naturally the first thing I wanted to try was a pizza, actually just a slice. Lucky for us there are pizza shops on every corner. I dared to take a pizza with ricotta, spinach and tomato. MMmm it wasn't as greasy as I expected. In fact it was a great combo. The next day we found that lots of convinence stores also have a buffet salad bar (NYC isn't that strict about food regulations) sold by weight. Yeah ! Today was our last day in Sydney, we went to the blue mountains and spent the last few hours packing our bags. We're trying to travel very light but it's a bit hard to know what's we'll actually need on the road. In case you're wondering, we'll be carrying about 16kg around the world We subscribed to the frequent flyer's program and hopefully will earn a lot of points with all our flights...
