Alright I promise this will be the last edition of the Spring Break road trip…sorry Easter break. I believe we were on the boat and chasing after the whale sharks last I left off. Our group of friends, there was nine of us I think were part of Group 2, so we watched as Group 1 got geared up and waited on the back of the boat. They jumped in and we took off to move ahead of the shark, unfortunately just as we jumped in he or she started to swim down so we only got a brief glimpse but it was still enough to get the excitement going again. It was huge and the next time we would be real close and everyone was talking and excited…I believe the word is giddy. Unfortunately the ... read more

Ok so where on earth did I leave off. I think it was Easter dinner at Monkey Mia. Alright well you’re going to have give me a second I killed off some brain cells this weekend and I don’t quite remember where we went from there. Oh of course the dolphins. Okay so Monkey Mia is a famous tourist attraction for believe it or not, not it’s exquisite dinners, it’s famous for giving people the opportunity to feed wild dolphins. All you have to do is get up at the crack of dawn. Or 7:30, to me pretty much the same thing. So we got up very early that morning and went down to the waters edge. Within about fifteen minutes four dolphins and a crowd of about a hundred people had gathered. The dolphin handlers ... read more

Alright so it's been awhile since I've wrote in this thing but what can I say I was never one of those girls who kept a diary. Alright so I believe we left off after my amazing turn as an Australian baseball player. I think I have a permanent bump on my leg from that ball, it's hot. Anywho, so that weekend we went on an amazing field trip for Marine Science, did I say amazing, I meant crappy. If I ever tell anyone I want to be an oceanographer, laugh, it's a joke. I'm not even going to bore you with the details of that trip, I'm just going to say this. You hear, marine science field trip on a boat, you think sounds like fun right?...you think wrong! Alright so now we get to ... read more

G’day everybody. I realize it’s been awhile since I updated this thing but it has been an incredibly busy month. I probably won’t even be able to remember it all, and not necessarily because of the alcohol consumption. Alright we’ll start with our college wide secret friend game and go from there. The whole point of secret friends is to give your friend a gift each day for four days and then introduce yourself at the toga party held at the end of the week. Great idea in theory right, simplistic, but apparently some people signed up for the game without really getting the concept. Personally, the guy who had me was pretty good although he missed the first day and I was not very impressed, in the end he made up for it and to ... read more

Hey Everybody I hope people are still checking this page because I do intend to still add stuff even though I'm sort of stationary at the moment. However, there are lots of trips and adventures still to come as all of the international kids want to travel on weekends and there's a big road trip being planned for our spring break, or I suppose fall break over here. Alright so I've been at school for two weeks now and I still feel like I'm on vacation with lectures that are kind of an aggravating whole in my beach time every once in awhile. And it's odd how when you throw a whole bunch of young adults together for two weeks everything in their lives becomes relative. All of a sudden you hear yourself saying " Jen ... read more

Sorry about the delayed message everyone, my internet just was just hooked up today. Well it’s official, I’m at school in Australia. Oh sorry, Uni, they don’t like the word school, it only means elementary school to them, and since I look like I could be in elementary school, it just throws everyone off. So I’m at “Uni”, just arrived today and whoever said Perth was picturesque was a genius. It is so damn beautiful here, it makes the rest of Australia look like the ghetto, no offense to all my friends over on the east coast. Alright so before I go on gushing and make everyone vomit, I’ll just quickly reminisce on the rest of my Sydney experience. So the second day we were in Sydney, Char and I dropped off Becca at the university ... read more

How ya going? Well we are back in Sydney. We've had an insane last few days. But before I tell you all about that I have just one thing to say. I am currently in the house of a true Aussie family (possibly one of the nicest families I've ever met) and I get to sleep on a real mattress, and eat homemade food, and watch TV, and use the internet whenever I please (without paying), and wash my clothes in a real washing machine, and use real towels (my towel for the last month has been the same one i use on the beach, no worries, i do wash it from time to time, possibly not as often as is hygenically favoured but I'm living out of a knapsack people, leave me alone). Now how ... read more

Hey Everyone Alright I have bad news, these damn public computers are to slow to upload pictures which is why Becca's page does not have any pictures either right now. But it's just one more week until I am in Perth and there will be pictures galore. In the meantime you'll just have to settle for my excellent verbal descriptive skills. Really that consists of the words hot, amazing, awesome and impossible to describe. But I'll do my best. So we just got back from our sailing trip around the Whitsunday islands. The weather was gorgeous, the water was gorgeous, the snorkelling was gorgeous, in a nutshell it was gorgeous. We travelled on a cadamaran (or something spelt like that) with around 50 other people and stayed on an island resort at night. I almost didn't ... read more

Hey Everybody This one is going to be quick and to the point because I spent most of my internet time fighting with Queen's, as usual. Alright well we just got back from our adventure to Fraser island, for those of you who have not heard of Fraser Island, it is the largest sand island in the world, picture it as a giant sand castle. I'm just kidding, it was more like a lot of sand and some beautiful freshwater lakes in the middle. We camped for two nights with eight people we were just thrown in a 4x4 with and I've got to say, the only way we would have had a better group is if Johnny Depp in a pirate outfit was included, throwing in Orlando Bloom would not have hurt either. We had ... read more

Alright so it's been awhile since we've been near a computer. We actually spent three more days in Byron, two days in Surfers Paradise and two days in Brisbane since the last time I wrote on this thing. Oh yeah and I just wanted to wish a happy belated birthday to Leah and Jen. I heard you guys had fun in Windsor and i missed out, although Towner, bullshit it's 34 degrees there but it is here. I don't even remember what I've talked about on this thing and what I haven't. So we'll start with the rest of Byron. We met a lot more really cool people, one girl from Texas, Katie, spent most of the rest of our days there with us which consisted of the beach and drinking from the goon at night. ... read more
