Happy St. Paddy's Day. The weather looks beautiful in Ariz. Those nice clear blue skies. However, we aren't complaining about our weather today as it finally has hit 60. You really have had a great winter and I love the pictures. Enjoy the rest of your time before you head home.
Love, aunt Livvie
Astro Turf I saw what looks like astro turf on the bocce ball courts. Nice, clean look and I sure you get a consistent roll but don't think I will go with that. There are a bunch of surfaces to choose from. Haven't priced any but the crushed stone looks good if the price is right.

Saguaro Pat and I enjoyed seeing these unique plants when we visited Tucson in July! The temperatures (116 degrees) did not invite us outdoors for very long. You saw far more than we ever did! See you soon, neighbors!
Tubac tour Well those buildings are super. We will have to go there some day.
I wish I could smell the aroma that you two will be making on the Black Diamond
but I would just sit back with the ladies...try to keep my questions down and enjoy the margaritas...J
Butterflies and Bocce The butterflies are gorgeous.
Now you must have Nan snap a photo
of you in a staff assisted genuflection roll
while playing Bocce ball.
Hello Travelers I'm so glad to get this update. I've been having problems with the travel blog link (my computer) so it's good to hear from you. Sounds like you are still having a great adventure and hope you had a wonderful birthday Paddy. Keep on keepin on!
Love,
Marty
We were near your place on Sunday Mare and I drove down to Tubac on Sunday (yesterday) to take in the big Tubac Art Festival. Wish we'd known you were in Tucson, coulda stopped by for a chat! We commissioned an artist to make a table for our entry hall while there and plan to drive back to Tubac, possibly next weekend, to pick it up. Mebbie we could get together on the way back home next Sunday if you don't have other plans. Let me know how we can contact to you.
Regards,
Dave and Mare
Howdy Do, and Birthday Greetings! Paddy,
I missed this blog until now. Happy Birthday buddy. Sound great, all the goings on. I could tell you were just waiting to get to the shuffle board. Things are OK here. Wet!!
Stay well and keep enjoying. Say hi to Nan and that little character.
Ricky Ray
Happy Birthday Thinking of you today as you celebrate your birthday, Paddy. Enjoy your meal at the Red Lobster. I am so glad that you are having an enjoyable winter in Ariz. We are still iin the low 30's here in Grand Junction. Don is still having a rough time with pain. I am hoping today will be a better day for him. Love you, aunt Livvie
Happy Birthday, Paddy Hi Paddy! I've really enjoyed following your blog! Happy Birthday tomorrow, and belated HB to Nan and Shaddy! Hope all continues to go well - you've had some great adventures! So where does next year take you?
I'm sure you're not following golf but Stricker won Riviera yesterday and is now ranked #2 in the world, passing Mickelson who seems to be stuck in a rut! No Tiger sightings. To be honest, we did not watch the golf - instead opted for the Super Bowl and were delighted when "Who Dat" emerged as winners! New Orelans needed it!
Travel safely and keep in touch -
All the best - Allie
"Super Sunday" What a storied adventure you are having! We can all live through you and stay at home. Unfortunately still chiller than i like but the days are lengthening just a bit. Happy 66th there Pat! (Feb. 9th). Hope you caught the 'Super Bowl'. One of the better ones. Keep having fun. Bingo!
Love,
Tom
I could see you at the Slabs I think you should assert your role and right, and define that the slabs are for me!! Free, cheap, colorful characters, and I bet they have great parties! What do you think!!
All is well up here. Had a mild Jan. and spring is creeping its way.
Say hi to all!!
Love,
Ricky Ray
Slab City Glad you folks went to SC
I never heard of this place
seems like an interesting adventure
worth going back also as
The pictures are gorgeous............Julie
Mister Socialite Boy Howdy! You sound like you are fitting right in with that retired folk!! Bingo, shuffle board. It sounds great.
If you get to Palm Springs, say hi to it for me. I used to love my visits there with my folks who lived there for several years. The Indian Canyons are pretty nice to see and the gondola ride up the mountain is pretty cool. You get up to a very different kind of world very quickly. We're so glad you all are having such fun.
My hernia is recoverying well. I'm walking. On Thursday I get the stitches out. That should be fun.
We are well here, all and all.
My best to the crew!
Love- Ricky Ray
Ocotillo When we were living in Tucson some people actually made living fences from the Ocotillo.
Hope you get some photos with blooms as they are so beautiful.
Mexican food is wonderful wish we were there. Me with my bongos and Claudia with her tamborine
playing to the beat of the mariachi band. Oh what fun and laughter : good food and good friends

Rain Response Hey, so you are the ones stealing our NW rain! Not a drop for the last couple of days. Not to worry...we've already had 6 inches in January! The trees remain green.
CA Glad things are going well with both of you. Rain sounds good to me after a very cold winter here. Looks like there is plenty to do and a good way to get acquainted with other "snowbirds". All is well here. Livvie
Heaven Sounds like heaven! We have been below freezing here in the tropics for three days. Wish I were there with you guys!
Have fun and stay safe,
Kath
I enjoy traveling and photography in the USA and Canada. In 2009, my trailboss and I upgraded from a lightweight, fold-out, tent trailer to a more comfortable 5th wheel with slideouts. Retired, we spend winters in southern Arizona, and summers in the Pacific Northwest. We are old, retired, on social security and medicare. Push button camping is more suited to our condition.
Many of my "wildscapes" images are offered for view and sale at my online gallery; NW Exposures. And I enjoy writing about our travels and photo safaries.
