Happy Thanksgiving Hey from Oly with 3 inches of snow and more coming, got the woodstove stoked and driveway shoveled, but those palm trees look mighty good!! Have a wonderful warm turkey day and hope Shaddy is feeling better. Lots of love, ada
Good to Hear from Ya Thanks for writing your blog! Glad to hear your travels went well. All is good on the anchored home! I've turned on some faucets to keep water dripping through our cold snap...down to the teens the next couple of nights. Be well...look forward to hearing from you soon.
Memories of Bryce Canyon Paddy, I'm reminded of a flight we made in 1992 to Monument Valley thence to Moab and climaxing above Bryce Canyon. Have a great trip. G
White Rim trail Pat,
Your trip to Canyonlands reminds me of my mountain biking trips along the White Rim Trail there. It was hard to take in the scenery and still miss the potholes.
How beautiful! You are lucky, lucky people and pet(?)!
Hey, if you don't need that gen, I may need it the next time a hurrican passes our way! Never mind I decided the next storm that comes a knocking, I'm catching the big bird and heading to your house or travel trailer.
Keep the faith while having fun,
Kath
Dogs in Zion We were not camped in Zion, but in the town of Virgin about 20 miles away. We drove into Zion but had to take a bus to visit the sights. Shaddy was not allowed on the bus, and we could not leave him in the truck in the parking lot because of the heat. So, for us, for all practical purposes, he was not allowed in Zion. And we were away too many hours to leave him in the 5th wheel, so we had to visit the park separately.
beautiful photos Hey Paddy, oh my goodness, what a blue sky and dramatic arches. love it. We miss you guys, getting ready to head to the deep south, can't wait!! Fried chicken, banana pudding, home made biscuits, etc! See ya when we all converge. lots of love, ada
Utah National Parks Paddy, your photos are convincing me of something of I have suspected for some time now: Utah's National Parks are more spectacular than the Grand Canyon.
How sweet it is!! Sounds like you are in the midst of a great trip. I look forward to all the pictures, storys and all. My best to the rest of the crew!
Rick
Blue with Envy Hey Paddy, good shots all. 23 my fav, I am sucker for that color of blue...great texture, balance, foreground, subject, composition...you know. Stay well and have fun, John.
Beautiful spot I have a commitment to the the Art Walk this Saturday or I would drive up there and join you. I haven't been to Arches or Canyonlands yet, and I want to go soon. Maybe next week I'll drive up. Dead Horse Point Park is supposed to be nice too.
Awesome Thanks for posting those awesome Grand Canyon photos. They are spectacular to say the least...and you are experiencing blue skies too. Great time for a trip to the SW it seems. Keep on posting those entries when you can. Pat
Spectacular Paddy, these Bryce Canyon photos are spectacular. Actually, this park looks far more interesting than the Grand Canyon. You have sold me on making a trip to Utah for reasons other than a Park City ski trip.
Greetings from CR Great to hear from you! Looks like better weather than here. Fall has come early...and will be staying according to long range predictions. If you've got any influence, send some blue skies north by northwest!
Have fun!
Dogs in Zion Where did you get the idea that dogs were not allowed in Zion NP?
They are not allowed on the trails but are in the Camogrounds, Parking lots and picnic areas.
We have stayed in Watchman CG with electric hookups and when we go out hiking or out sightseeing our Lab Gordon stays in the motorhome.

On the Road Again Hey Paddy & Nan & Shadow
Happy trails to you. Keep an eye out for Lisa and her faithful companion Charlie Kramer. You may cross paths.
Great posting! Hi Paddy! I'm really enjoying reading about your travels. Although Arizona is not far from me, I love taking road trips there because it's so beautiful! I have a new blog and am always looking for photos, reviews, etc. I would love to post anything you have to share with fellow travelers!
Happy, safe travels to you!

I enjoy traveling and photography in the USA and Canada. In 2009, my trailboss and I upgraded from a lightweight, fold-out, tent trailer to a more comfortable 5th wheel with slideouts. Retired, we spend winters in southern Arizona, and summers in the Pacific Northwest. We are old, retired, on social security and medicare. Push button camping is more suited to our condition.
Many of my "wildscapes" images are offered for view and sale at my online gallery; NW Exposures. And I enjoy writing about our travels and photo safaries.
