heat it up baby glad to about your current position and destination. Roll'em straight! The warmth sounds wonderful. I played golf for the first time in 2010 yesterday. A sunny day for a change. The Packer/Cardinals game was great to watch if you like offense. 1000 yds's bstween the two teams. Overtime 51 to 45 Cardinals. Both QB's were out of this world. The catches by the ends were unreal. Keep us posted. Happy continued travels. TJM
Happy Trails To You Happy New Year to you. Sounds like you're having a grand time in the sunny south. We're enjoying your blog entries and look forward to the next edition. Have a safe and wonderful trip to the new destination. Was Shadow just a little jealous of the picture of the "other dog"? Take care, Pat
Love your stories Hey Paddy! You are a great storyteller! Could be a new career! Probably more profitable than "Pick 'Em" golf. Keep me on your list - I really enjoy it! Happy New Year to you and Nan.
All the best - Allie
Happy New Year Wishes Hi Road Warriors,
Hope you are feeling better Paddy, and hope you didn't share the bug with Nan. Thinking of you and wishing you every happiness and safe adventures in 2010.
Much love,
Marty
Happy Holiday! To Pat, Nan, and Shaddy,
Happy Holiday to you all. Sounds like you are having some fun with others, and getting the right kind of gifts.
We are doing well here. Having a beautiful clear day today, having Chunkie over for a dinner.
Tomorrow we go to a play and dinner.
Miss your smiling faces.
My best to all!
Ricky Ray
"Wild and Windy" Good thing you were both a couple of 'cow-hands' in an earlier life or time. Sounds like driving that one hwy was like riding an angry bull. Adventurous indeed! Be glad you are out of Dodge City (Olympia). Not nearly as bad as last winter but damn cold. I spend most of my time in the bathtub and under our new heated blankets. Spring will not be here soon enough. Otherwise MOS. Tiger-gate has slowed somewhat. The saga has been as good as any golf round he ever shot or likely to shoot. If he fails to face his fans before too long they will certainly be ready to flash bulbs and provide mistimed hollering on his back-swing when he does come out from hiding. It will be great theater!
Stay safe, have fun and certainly have a Merry Christmas!
Love,
Tom and gang
Response Good to hear from you. So you are fond of dust storms, huh? When you return to damp western WA you will have to shake the dust from your boots...and your home. Maybe we would have the start of a beach in Cougar Ridge.
Be well and enjoy the rattlesnake chili! Merry Christmas!
Down the road Hey, even though I know you are not down the road from us, your blog helps me to remember that home is where the heart is and your adventures are so worth reading about!! Keep us posted!! we miss you. Ada
Lake Havasu City Az So glad you got to visit here. It is a wonderfu place

coming in in droves it is fun to talk to everyone and
you all learn to get along together and adapt.

Ahead of the storm Hey Pat,
Glad you were able to stay ahead of the storm. We got a lot of snow and cold but the worst was south of us. We are now in the deep freeze. 9 degrees last night and 16 for the high today. At my house in Green River it was -27 this morning. I will be back up there next week so I hope it moderates a bit before I get there. Hope you are loving the gypsy life.
Jimbo
Frigid! Good to hear from you. Yes, you left just in time. It was a toasty 7 degrees last night...more of the same in the next 24 hours. Wonder if we will escape this cold front without white flakes!
Your house is OK...no frozen pipes, etc.
Stay in touch and enjoy the warm weather.
Your trip I have been keeping up with your travels and glad everything went ok. Ariz. sounds good to me after we got up to 8-10 inches of snow this morning and it is still snowing. However, I must say it is beautiful outside. I am hoping this comment will go through. Take care. Livvie
More than a River Breeze Hi you three...happy birthday to Shadow...Sounds like you've found a great place to spend a few weeks. The sun is out here and blue skies...cold and very beautiful out. Our tree is decorated and there are pretty displays around the neighborhood. Have a great time in the sunny (well, most of the time) South. We enjoy your updates and location maps. Enjoy the toddies. Do you think the flag may signal to the neighbors what great margaritas you make? I foresee a gathering in the community kitchen...
Toddy Flag Love the flag
you 3 were lucky to get out of Wa without the cold weather
real cold up here and will keep being cold
the river is even frozen....but not my Merlot
"keep on Trucken"
When they sai, "keep on trucken", they must of had you in mind. Great photos! You got out of state in the nic of time. So cold. 24 degrees in kirkland this morning. 3 more days of hellish cold before warmth and rain return. Give me rain over cold.
You know that the best laid plans get shot too hell from time to time. I know how adaptive you both can be. A great skill indeed. We will keep you in our thoughts and hearts as you 'move down the line'. Tom
PS In his last 2 games Jake Locker has shown to be the best pro quarterback prospect in the country. No one can touch him. Huskies, Pac 10 Champions next year if he returns. #3 draft pick in the Pro's if he leaves. The Civil War was everything I hoped it would be. You had other matters to tend to. Texas vs Alabama Jan. 7th. Alabama by 9
Ya Hoo Glad you are trucking and finally have broken in the Beast. What good is a truck without a dent!!
We are well hear, enjoying cold and sunny weather.
Keep us posted!!

Orange Groves What great photos as usual...along with the interesting description of your trip. Is the rest stop problem in the interest of cost-saving in CA? How fun to be camped in an orange grove. I have fond memories of that in the 50's when my parents would take us on long camping trips in the summer. We have awakened to cold temps and clear skies the past few days. Hopefully today we will get a little walk in. I'm just happy to feel better...sense of balance is back as well as my APPETITE! Miss you all very much. Have a safe and wonderful trip.
I enjoy traveling and photography in the USA and Canada. In 2009, my trailboss and I upgraded from a lightweight, fold-out, tent trailer to a more comfortable 5th wheel with slideouts. Retired, we spend winters in southern Arizona, and summers in the Pacific Northwest. We are old, retired, on social security and medicare. Push button camping is more suited to our condition.
Many of my "wildscapes" images are offered for view and sale at my online gallery; NW Exposures. And I enjoy writing about our travels and photo safaries.
