Interested Hi Paddy
Mavis and I made that same trip a couple years ago. Be Sure and go see The Crazy Horse Monument. It Is not far from Ruishmore and well worth seeing.
Your Good friend Al
You Bagged a Shot! Who sez you're not persistent? Way to hang in there. Photographers must have patience...and the time to develop patience. Thanks for the shots of the devil.
Patience Timing is everything, and we all know how patient photographers have to be to get the right shot. The last one posted is a gem. Thanks for sharing. And happy trails as you continue your journey.
Super Photos of Devil's Tower Hi dear Neighbors,
Sounds like you're having a marvelous trip. Your photos along the way give us an opportunity for a vicarious trip too! All is well on the homefront. I watered the impatiens. Most were doing well, one was a bit dry. We've had quite a bit of rain here all weekend and yesterday too.
Of course I missed our walk yesterday, Nancy. However, I did spend time reading your blog and have really enjoyed hearing about your adventures and what's for dinner. Nice place setting. Just like a fancy restaurant!
The beast must "eat" a lot of gas, but what it could eat, namely bugs, it doesn't. So, those pounds of bugs can be left in a pile near the campsite for the bug-eating birds!
Happy trails to you three,
Pat
following your adventure Hey Paddy, enjoying your adventures. We had some storms and record rain fall this labor weekend and we were out in the middle of it warm and cozy on Clara June!! Coming back in to Oly from Hope Island we must of had 35 knot winds and horizontal rainfall! Made it in safe and sound and spent another night at the dock!! Keep us posted on your travel blog. Miss you guys, Ada
Your trip Paddy, I am not sure if you will receive, but I thought I would give it a try. So glad your trip is going well and you are seeing some beautiful country. It will be great to get an update of your trip. Love, aunt Livvie
Tower Power glad you figured out how to keep us all updated! I would not have guessed you were in Wyoming, but not surprised. Sounds like an adventure to me. There's power in that tower, Patrick. Do a little jig on it for me. -Lisa
Envy, I think The pictures are really great an I'm sure the trip has been a blast even though Nancy said it is pretty hot. Guess I need to check her Blog to get a full reading on this trip!!!
Hardin and Little Bighorn Glad you got to see the Little Bighorn. I went there about 12 years ago and it made a lasting impression on me. I was also impressed how they have worked out how the battle was fought and who died where and of what and when. Historical forensics I guess is what it is called. Happy Trails,
Jim
Stayed in that same KOA in '95 Hi Paddy - what nostalgia you conjure up with your travel blogs - we stayed at the same KOA when we visited the Little Big Horn in '95. We still remember that wonderful trip and the great spell-binding description of the battle given by the Park Ranger. Glad to hear you, Nan and Shaddy are enjoying the trip, even if you you don't like the sound of a mournful train whistle during the night! (Mare loves the sound - says it helps her to sleep better!)
Hardin Hey, Hardin is about 25 miles from Ft. Smith where I will be in 3 weeks. A Bighorn Fishing trip with Dick Hauch, my old buddy from my intern days. The Custer Battlefield is worth a stop if you get close.
Jim
Wonderful Paddy, thanks for notifying us of your TravelBlog. We'll enjoy being along on your adventures. A few years back, we sorta did what you're doing now, only with a pop-up tent trailer and now wish we were still traveling and seeing this beautiful country as you, Nan and Shad are doing, in the comfort of Uncle Joe.
Will Sequim be a stop? The Salt Creek County Park campground overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca is about a 25 minute drive west of Port Angeles, which is a bit west of Sequim.
We drove into Port Angeles to use the fee wifi at the PA public library, to update the travel blog. We didn't go to Sequim this trip, but are familiar with it and the 3 Crabs Resturant. Sequim has become quite the retirement community.
But probably not for us because of the logistical problem of getting an RV across Puget Sound to travel to the Cascades and beyond.

Your Trip continued... I could see all the glorious sights you have seen out that back window with your comments.
What a great trip . Will Sequim be a stop off on that trip too ?
Remembering those wonderful crabs we caught there years ago....mmmmm so good and juicy.
Fabulous pics of MY Tetons! Hi, Paddy: I'm glad you put the link at Eons RVing. Wonderful blog, and fab pics! Makes me soooo homesick!!!
Thank you so much for being here and doing this. It was even better in the 1950s, and early 60s, when there were few people who knew, and even fewer who visited there. Travelling was not yet a possibility for most people right after the war. We fished all these areas, little company then.
We used to be so annoyed with tourists feeding the bears and deer and imprinting them on people, thus causing them to lose their fear, and becoming pests and dangerous to all. Too many wild bears have had to be killed because they were enticed to go over to find some more human food. As you know, it can be very serious.
Again, I'll be back. Thank you.

Mt. St. Helens Volcano Cam First thing I do when I open my browser each morning is take a look at Mt. St. Helens. Right now I live in northern California. Don't want to see the volcano spew over on folks again, but if it does I want to see it!
Thanks for sharing the great photos.
I enjoy traveling and photography in the USA and Canada. In 2009, my trailboss and I upgraded from a lightweight, fold-out, tent trailer to a more comfortable 5th wheel with slideouts. Retired, we spend winters in southern Arizona, and summers in the Pacific Northwest. We are old, retired, on social security and medicare. Push button camping is more suited to our condition.
Many of my "wildscapes" images are offered for view and sale at my online gallery; NW Exposures. And I enjoy writing about our travels and photo safaries.
