We spent Thursday night at Dos Reis County Park in San Joaquin County, CA.
Ok, I didn’t get to see the Civil War on television, but I look forward to seeing the Ducks play in the Rose Bowl. Since there are no longer any college or pro football teams worth watching in Washington State, we must look southward to Oregon for caliber football.
But I did get some nice photos at Dos Reis and the San Joaquin River.
No, I’m not going to post a photo of the new dent I put in the right hip of The Beast, trying to back up Uncle Joe.

Friday was a tough road day. We enjoyed a customary stop and stretch after an hour on the road. But our lunch stop and nap were interrupted when we discovered our planned rest stop on I-5 was closed.
So, we kept on trucking to the next rest stop.
It was closed.
Dang.
We continued trucking on to Bakersfield, CA; to our destination on the east side; Orange Grove
RV Resort. Talk about a long day on the road; no lunch, no nap.
But what a delightful place to spend the night; in an orange grove. Some photos are inserted.
We are allowed to pick a grocery bag of oranges a day. We have our bag and will tote it down the road with us tomorrow as we turn east toward Needles, CA.

Stay tuned,
Paddy

How neat!
I like that you get to pick the oranges, that's great. Sorry to hear about the dent though... Love you!
