Where was I last time...being chucked out of the library in Armidale - I think -cos they had rung the bell for closing time at 5 to 6pm ( didnt shout "time gentlemen please" ) but librarian was standing by my shoulder as I wrote my last words. Well later hat night we found a lovely restaurant called The Flying Duck which did tapas... and was lovely --nice spanish music, log fire ( yes it was cool enough -the town is 1000 m up) , lovely couple and YUMMY food. Its a BYO wine so Jenny bought a bottle of Browns Chardonnay!!! We changed our plan for the route we took as we were told by several fellow travellers that the road to the coast o Coffs Harbour from Armidale (called Waterfall Way) and through the ... read more

Well here I am again...its not so easy getting to an internet point... especially when I am having a good time sight seeing etc. jenny and I had a few days around Forster- weather wasn't too good but there are some beautiful places around there and some lovely beaches. So we were invited to a friend's farm in the Hunter Valley where the vineyards are and so i did a bit of being a farm girl.... sort of helped herding a few cows into a pasture where Allan was putting stuff on the cows to stop them getting ticks and one calf had to be gelded...well I am sure you boys out there don't want to know about that. Got lots of fotos of nice cows!!! Next day we picked olives - it's fun when you ... read more

Suzanne left for Adelaide - Wednesday - and first report from her is it's lovely and she reports Great White Sharks in the vicinity, but I needn't worry cos I know she doesn't like to get her face wet. And I am at Double Bay with Angie and Ed's. Lovely to be here with them - Angie and I met doing our teacher training and Ed was at the University of Sussex when they met, so Michael knew him too....and we all fell in love at the same time and got married in the University Meeting House within a few months of each other and I had Richard just 6 months before Angie had Hattie.... so ... read more
