hi again , Friday now and only one day left in Singapore. We have hopped on and off that bus so many times now I think the drivers recognise us!!! Its great - when you have a boarding pass from Singapore airlines you get 50% off the bus, so we can travel around most places we want to go all day for $3, which is just over Â£1. Now we have trekked around Chinatown- and were enticed to have a Chinese Massage, I had the foot and neck and shoulders -(that would have been great for your bad back, Richard)- - he told me I had a loose knee cap ---oops ---don't know wot I can do about that. Hi We've fallen in love with Singapore. Staying here with Fabien ( french friend) and Cher and Richie( Dubai friends) + their 2 babes live about four houses down the road...so seeing lots of them too. Flight here was great, and haven't really been jet lagged...well w just keep going!!!! First day did hop on off bus, and river boat cruise ----so much to see, and ended the day in Cher's pool swimming with Cameron ( baby). Y'day we went off to the Botanic Gdns and you know what I am like with flowers photos.... well!!!! You can imagine when I got into the orchid garden ---I was bowled over and the camera overheated. Hi everyone - This is my first blog -almost packed -ready to go on Saturday. Plane leaves Heathrow at 18.30 and we arrive in Singapore on Sunday afternoon. Hope there are lots of good films on the plane, and of course there's my mp3 and even a book , and I can always play Sudoku on my phone. One of our ex- Dubai friends now lives in Singapore and she is picking us up at the airport...thanks Cher!!!!! Looking forward to a Singapore Sling in Raffles - and I'll have one for you ,Bob. This is going to be my main way of keeping in contact with all you friends and family, while I am travelling this 2 months ...so I hope you will send messages back to me. Keeping this travel blog enables me to reflect and record my journeys as well as communicate with my family and friends. I shouldn't be amazed me that complete strangers in this travel community will want to read about what I am up to as they are a great bunch of folk.
