Great photos! Great planning and wonderful scenery. The architecture over there is unique. Guess my whitewater kayak would look weird in the canals. Looks like we have another place to add to our list. Travel safely. Chuck

Split
Papa as you know boarded a boat in Split back across the Adriatic Sea to Italy to their base. Just to think you were there was awesome!

hope you're having a wonderful time. It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I don't really ever comment, but I do take the time to look at the photos.

Request
These are extraordinary! I do want to see a slide show with comments and titles for the pics because I don't know every time what I am seeing. I love the last photo: self explanatory!

Again, I am learning so much. These are incredible photos!

Great
I do so appreciate the photos and the journal writing that y'all have done! So beautiful! Love that you are already planning what to see (or not) the NEXT time!

This is all so amazing!

World Travelers
Boy, you two are covering some territory! Don't know how you figure everything out. I would still be stuck in Pelahatchie trying to speak to the natives. Enjoy!

Great Pictures~
Wow, you guys are taking some great pictures. . .so clear and well lit. I love the idea of traveling around Venice--although one of my friends complained that Venice is "all churches and glass shops."
22nd May 2014

Venice
Venice did have lots of churches and I'm sure plenty of glass shops because of Murano island but we are not shoppers. We just enjoyed the walking through the small alley ways, small streets and trying to get away from the mass of people congregated in really popular places.

Nice!
Well done, Larry. Your photographs and commentary are great, and most appreciated, but, I'm wondering when you sleep. Have fun, you two, and please keep up the good work.

Pictures
Yep - I do sometimes stay up late to put pictures on the site, but then again it's because Rhea wants to stay out till the wee hours - it seems like. Just wait when I get a new Nikon camera and we'll see how future trip photos turn out - of course with some professional advice from you. Still working with Rhea on picture setup - avoiding unnecessary items in the photos, lighting, etc. Not just point and click.

Thanks for sharing
Larry & Rhea, thank you so much for the beautiful pictures and commentary of your travels. Like you, the scenery is lovely, but I am most awed by the antquitity of so many of the places you have visited. Miss you both.

View of Kotor Bay

Thank you for the extra effort it took to get to the top...
which produced this and other great pictures! We hope to visit Kotor someday, probably as a day trip while staying in Dubrovnik. We'll likely do Mostar the same way. And then take ferries from Dubrovnik all the way up the coast to Slovenia. Have a great time for the remainder of you cruise. You'll love Venice, but the best time to see it is the evenings.

Barcelona
Those are awesome photos, I can only imagine what it looks like in real life. Thanks. Be careful!

wow!
I have enjoyed all your trip pictures--especially the Italy ones. . . I can only imagine the crowds that I will be facing this summer! Glad you were able to negotiate the trains and enjoy some of the quieter towns like Lucca!

Well done...
we also skip the overpriced tours and do it on our own when we cruise (not often). You plan well. We did the same with regard to Coliseum tickets, buying ours at the Forum, but we had much more time than you to see everything.

Taxis?
Only if we are truly truly desperate. Local transportation is our way. :o)

From the Home Front
I am sure glad you Estes' travel. That means I will hear from you! Seriously, the photos are great and we are jealous. You all are doing this retirement thing right. Be careful and keep us posted.

Thanks
Hey, these pics look great! I am just now able to get to the computer comfortably, and I know I could have used my phone but so small! Looks like everything for y'all is great, such beauty everywhere! Thanks so much for the use of the stationary bike; it has done wonders!!! My flexibility for the new knee is 127 degrees; for the old only 115-120! When I go for outpatient PT, they will have to work on the old knee again. I told you I thought it was a little stiff! I know y'all are having so much fun. Be safe! Miss you much!

Glad to know you made it. How colorful! I love the market pictures--that definitely makes me think of Italy too. Rhea looks right at home at dinner! Enjoy your time. Raining here today.
