Safe Travels
Sorry we have not sent you a note before. Lots going on here for our trips. Love the photos and descriptions of your trip. Great fun! Hurry up and get back as we have many questions about NZ. Need to find out about your friends in Christchurch and whether they want any visitors. Right now I am planning for other accommodations but I can change if they want visitors. Safe travels back. We are heading for Dauphin Island AL for 5-6 days after Nantahala. Then its all focus on NZ. Chuck

The Skeillegs
Check them out. We went over to them by a little boat and climbed to top where monks had hidden from looters and pillagers.... Sheep grazed on the steep slopes falling off too the sea.... Got a great book on the history! Wish we're with you! Lois

Great pics!
Thanks for all the food pictures! The Irish breakfast looks just like the Scottish one, but delicious if it was like the ones we had. Y'all are doing a great job making me feel like I was (almost) there. Great journal reading and marvelous pictures. Hope you are having as much fun as you look like you are having! I did not see a picture of Susan; what a fantastic adventure to see her after all this time.

Delightful Pics
Car hiring services are most fascinating as there are many memories which are attached in the the trip which surely becomes a delight.

Wow!
Wow! I wish I were there with y'all! The pictures are fantastic and the narrative really quite good! And this comes from an old English teacher. Isn't it funny how little things (like hot water) make such a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. Hope you both are well and having as much fun as it looks. Blue coat still stupendous!

Makes me want to go!
Awesome entry! Not sure I would want to drive. Your pictures are beautiful. Ireland is definitely on my list. Some of my Dad's family still have the trunks my ancestors shipped over from Dublin.

Miss you!
The pictures are fantastic! You've been there less than a week (barely) and already done so much! Rhea, you are looking good with beautiful background scenery, but you stand out; love that blue coat. Hope all is well! Love and kisses, Janie

Thanks for the tour
Enjoyed the blog. I have a much better "feel" for New Zealand now. Have a safe trip home. As far as projects go I want an exact copy of the motorhome on the Ford. Mayor Mary would love it.

Zorb
Hey Rhea, is the Zorb some sort of vehicle for traveling down hills? And what's up with the water inside? Loved the photos of Christchurch Cathedral. No snow here in Spokane and nice temps. It's been the 'winter that wasn't'. High point of my weekend was cooking formal dinner for four. Turned out very well. Larry, you'll be pleased to hear that for dessert I made a "Guinness Cake." No kidding . . . you add 2 cups of Guinness Stout to the batter. Actually it was delicious, but I would have made it anyway for the sheer conversational value.

Have a safe trip home
Enjoyed all the pictures especially the waterfalls, whales and gardens!! Have a safe journey home. You'll need plenty of patience when you get to the airports after the Christmas incident. Ah, home sweet home. You and Rhea are welcome to spend a month with us. I have plenty of bathroom and kitchen renovation work for you!

Home Coming
Hi y'all--we are ready for you to come home! Have enjoyed reading about your adventures. What a wonderful trip. We took Alice to NYC for her 21st birthday; was fun, but cold and has been cold in MS. Blessings on the rest of your travels; it will be good to pass the peace with you in person! Faithfully, Mother Ann

Dear hearts: Come home. There is such a thing as too much fun and you've had it. Miss you mightily and I want to hear about these adventures in person, no matter how good the pictures you display and how interesting the words you write. You are truly missed. Love, Polly

Hey - Hope you're well. Has anyone told you that here in the sunny South we're freezing? We haven't been above 28 degrees for the last 2 days, but tomorrow we're supposed to be mid-30's. Next week we'll be back to the 50's for highs. When you get home, are we going to have to be careful when you're out and about since you've gotten used to driving on the "wrong" side of the road? Take care and hope to see you soon.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Larry & Rhea: Happy Anniversary, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Sorry it has been a while, but I just got back to work yesterday and Sara went back to school as well. She had 4 teeth pulled over the holidays, will have spacers put in on Martin Luther King Day (1/18/10) and within 6 months is expected to have braces. How's that to start off your 12th year of life! Lovely. Miss you. We are having the Epiphany service at church tonight. Take care and talk to you soon! Linda Waldbauer

Hey Guys, The kids program on Christmas Eve was awsome. That Jolyne is something special. The kids are so great. You two were mentioned in connection with them. It sounds as if the flies are in a hell of a lot of trouble if Rhae is concerned.Watch out. We are having rain and cold for Christmas and New Year. We got a Wii for Christmas so it gets us up and moving even though we go to the Health Plex every morning for a work out.Jobe is much better at working out than I am.Josh has of course beaten us all on the Wii. We are so enjoying your trip.Keep up the good work. Sorry about your camera. You are both missed a lot.
