Barcelona Spain - Our first stop

We arrived in Barcelona Spain on Tuesday morning May 6 around 8:30am. We had purchased the Barcelona Pass which allows the use of bus and rail throughout the Barcelona area plus access to many venues at no additional charge. Getting into the city - out of the airport - was overall one of our biggest hurdles once we found our way to Terminal 2 and headed towards the rail to the city. Being the thrifty travelers we are, we had booked into the Mediterranean Hostel very near the downtown area. Everything we needed except for the 3 to 5 Star price. :o)

It took us till the next day to completely figure out the Barcelona underground rail system, but once we cracked that nut, everything is accessible and quick to get to!! We have not yet described any of the photos at this time due to time constraints but will explain them later. There are about 50 photos so go to the bottom of the travelblog page to see additional photos beyond those shown on the main page. Thanks for viewing!

Great!
Glad to know you made it. How colorful! I love the market pictures--that definitely makes me think of Italy too. Rhea looks right at home at dinner! Enjoy your time. Raining here today.

Thanks
Hey, these pics look great! I am just now able to get to the computer comfortably, and I know I could have used my phone but so small! Looks like everything for y'all is great, such beauty everywhere! Thanks so much for the use of the stationary bike; it has done wonders!!! My flexibility for the new knee is 127 degrees; for the old only 115-120! When I go for outpatient PT, they will have to work on the old knee again. I told you I thought it was a little stiff! I know y'all are having so much fun. Be safe! Miss you much!
