This blog records the events of a very special trip in memory of our parents. We lived in Turkey as a family and had great memories of our time and adventures there as a family. It seemed logical to return there to revisit all our favorite sites. We will fly to Istanbul to explore the ancient Ottoman Empire sites then fly to Cappadocia for two days to explore the fairy chimneys and underground cities. We will then fly to Izmir, where we lived. From there will take a day trip to Pammukale, a site of ancient roman ruins with a natural spring spa we visited many times, one of our favorite places. We will tour the best of Izmir then return to Istanbul to board a small cruise yacht. For eight days we will cruise ports of coastal Turkey and various Greek islands. Our ship will take us finally to Athens where will explore the best of ancient Greece before returning back to the USA.
