John, Yep we have been having fun. This has been a terrific experience. All the problems we have encountered haven't spoiled the fun for us. We've been flexible and made the best of every situation. God has gudied and protected us on this trip. He'll see us home. See you Sunday. Karen

Thanks Colleen for your note. I'm glad you're enjoying to blog. I have really enjoyed doing it. Internet access has been an issue even with the Sprint card. Some states just don't have much coverage. Hard to imagine until you get out in the -still wide open - west. I hope you get to see some of this someday. I'll need you advice. We'd like to plan a trip to Canada some time. See you Monday. Karen

Jackie, Thanks for the note. The train was a lot of fun and the National Park Service appreciates people using it and NOT taking their cars up to the village. Parking can be an issue apparently and it certainly saves on gas. You pay the railroad the park admission fee so they still get their money. David does like to sing and sings very well. I've been trying for years to get him to join but no luck. We're headed east now and looking foward to being home again. See you Sunday! Karen

It looks and sounds like you guys are having a great time. I'm glad you had the opportunity to do this. I haven't been to the Canyon myself but it is one place I would definitely love to see. Sorry David had to bring the rain with him. ha ha. I have heard that the train to the Canyon is the way to go. Looking at the picture of David and Bill on the train it seems David likes to sing. So why isn't he in the choir? SO YOU ARE HAVING FUN
Thanks for all the news and pictures Karen. I haven't been practicing my trombone so I will need to get back up to speed soon. I've missed the orchestra practices but I have been attending mid-week power. Darla and Emily are out of town - Darla will be back home Saturday Emily on August 2nd. Jacque and I are taking care of the projects and chores. God Bless everyone, I miss you, May God lead you home safely.

I am SOOOO jealous! I have seen and done a lot of what you're doing, and would love to do it again! God's creation is indeed magnificent, especially out west. Can't believe "whoever" ha gave you that "injured" car!! Patty's doing a great job with pictures, Bill's doing a great job cleaning poop... What's David doing?? Brian says he should be sending us gas reports - how much are you spending, how good of mileage are you getting, etc. Miss you all!!

WOW!! God's creation is astonishing!!
Hi Mom! Having a great time. Caught a cold in the mountains of Yellowstone; but, so so so worth it!! I just can't believe how beautiful our country is. We talk to the kids at least once a day which is really good considering we have had next to NO connections to the rest of the world. I hope that I will have another chance to drive cross country - there is sooooooo much to see and I want to see it ALL!!! Love Ya! Tell everyone hello
