BRIGHT and Early!!! Up and at 'em!!! We had to leave Metrogate by 800a. to go to Stonehenge and then onto Bath. Well, took a coach (bus) and got to Stonehenge at about 10 am or so! However, it was bitterly cold outside. And it was a piercing cold, because it was wet and very windy and it went right through all my clothes! It was not fun, but I got to see those odd stones arranged in a circle! It is kind of funny, because they really have no clue who put them there, why they did and how they did it, but the tour guide kept trying to explain what the experts think. However, even though she spoke with suck authority and obviously knows more about the subject than I, we still don't really ... read more

Today I had class 9-12 and it was quite boring, again. But at least the people I have gotten to know are pretty cool. After class, though, I ventured to Hammersmith and Fulham to meet Dr. Kenneth Wolfe. Dr. Wolfe is a professor/teacher at an all girls school in Hammersmith called Godolphin and Latymer. He is also a good friend of President Hynes of SNC and that is how I got the contact information. He treated to a meal at his school and showed me around. It was a really nice school. All the girls were in uniforms that consisted of tights, skirts and sweater sets. I don't know how I would feel about wearing a skirt everyday! but they seem to manage well. Dr. Wolfe introduced me to many of his fellow colleagues and they ... read more

Mid week....my only day that doesn't begin in the AM...But somehow I always get up early on Wednesdays!!! I cleaned my part of the room and did some laundry. Oh Joy! And I had class later in the afternoon. It was the Shakespeare class. Incredible!!! I love that class. and the people are quite amazing as well! For class today, we walked along the Thames and across it. YES! I WALKED across a footbridge. It wasn't the millennium bridge, it was the Jubilee bridge. and then we saw the Globe, which happens to be next the Tate Modern present day. But in Shakespeare's day it was at a different location. Then, after our walked we went to a very cute, quaint little pub and had a pint and chit-chatted! I think that is my favorite time ... read more

Well, I pretty much got little sleep Monday, because of some very rude and immature sophomore students from SNC...but whatever, they must grow up on their own terms, and hopefully that is soon. Anyways, I woke up at the crack of dawn pretty much because I had a 9 am class. Which seems weird, because I have 8 am classes before, including last semester, but here 9 am feels SO much earlier in the day. I went to class and it was pretty much amazing because, it is Bryan Ridgers and honestly, who doesn't love that man and that class?? No one! But the most unfortunate thing happened today that really put a damper on my plans. My world came to a streaking halt when I got a horrible migraine...so I popped some pills and slept ... read more

Today is Monday! As far as days here, it sure was jammed pack! But before I get to today, Last night, at about midnight, the fire alarms in Metrogate went off!!! I was scared! and the only thing I could think of the entire time down the stairs, was, what about my iPod, my laptop, my camera!!! BUT thank the Lord it was a false alarm! And then everyone was laughing at me, because I had my frilly PJ's on, with my Silky robe from the Gap and my Salon slippers! They thought I looked like a rich mom! Well, of course I had class, British Life and Culture. And we just talked about what we are doing for our final papers. I think I am going to focus on the political structure of Great Britain ... read more

Really this should be dated Jan20, 21, and 22. Because I really need to finish catching up on this blog!!! Friday---For my History Class, we went to the Science and Technology Museum. And even though it is not my forte, it was interesting. It was a place that I think my Dad would absolutely fall in love with and enjoy. There were many cool things. Most of the exhibits shown, dealt a lot with innovation and the development of old technology into what we use today. There was an original locomotion engine there, A Model T, a Rolls Royce Engine, among other things. We were to go around and look at a certain area of innovation and chart it's changes from the industrial revolution until today. The group that I was in was me and Krogman, ... read more

Happy Birthday to Mom!!! Yea, we called and left a VM on her work number, my flat mates and I! I also bought her something cool. I am not going to say what it is because she checks it, but I just want her to know that I did get her something on her Birthday for Her birthday, even though she won't get it until May!!! But Yea, today I had my History Class. Which I hate. I actually dread going to this class because it is very boring and all things that I have learned before. Again thank you Mr. Timm for that! But the other people in the class, they really don't care too much for history. Tards! And we talk a lot about British Culture and we spend little time on things and ... read more

Slept in today! But I got up and checked my email, because my computer has oddly been working well the last two days! And I got some delta e-mails, and I just basically updated them all on my current situation. So, yea, didn't have class until 130, so I just stayed in and took care of housecleaning items, because I still had to put away my clothes from the weekend and plan out my up coming break. So, we'll see what happens with that. But I went to class. But after we were done with class, there wasn't much to do, because all the free places close by 6. So, today was a bit mundane. Get up, clean, get ready, go to class, and come back make dinner. But my dinner tonight was wonderful. It was ... read more

I think Tuesdays are my favorite days here! I have the best class in the entire world. And we learn so much about Elizabethan Culture. It is so intriguing! And I am always pumped to get up early and go to this class. Then, I get done by noon and take a little time for myself to go exploring random places in London. Today, I did not venture as far as I usually do. I just went to the Natural History Museum. And Natural History is really not my forte nor interest, but hey, it's free anyways! But I did to one exhibition that was amazing and it was The Mineral, Gems and Jewels Collection. I think this was definitely something that Danny would enjoy, being the rock junky that he is!!!! Hahaha! Actually it was ... read more

Second week of Classes have begun! My first and only class today was British Life and Culture, or BLC as we students like to call it. My class is a fairly good size. Probably about 20 students. We have Students from SNC, Marist, Loyola-Marymount, Guillard, Arizona and American University in this class. Today we talked about Newspapers. The newspaper I was to buy was the Guardian, which is one of the leaders here in London. Also, it is one of the leftist papers, but as I was reading through it, I found it to be quite moderate. It is definitely a support of Tony Blair and the Labour Party here. I was also surprised to find out that many of the big broadsheet newspapers ("real" newspapers") are conservative. Since, mine was an exception to this I ... read more
