Eggs on Legs - Al, Shaz & Beth

Al, Shaz & Beth Hullo!! We did a big fat trip a wee while ago covering Bonnie Scotland (our home), France, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and China. Then we came home and had a lovely baby girl called Beth and Alan went back to work. Beth is 14 months old now (I know - where does the time go??) and we haven't been anywhere exotic for yonks. Consequently we are now 'dormant bloggers' which makes us feel a bit dreary, so we better get our skates on and find some good places to visit and report on pronto!!.................

Mystical Stonehenge at 2pm.
Mystical Stonehenge at 2pm.
A woman was walking behind us going ' yeah, its really really amazing cos the shadows appear in different directions depending on which way the sun shines'. What a Tube.
Hullo! Before I say anything else I would just like to mention that we can't say Stonehenge without adopting the accent and tone of voice used in Spinal Tap. For those of you in the know - best scene ever is the 12 inch Stonhenge lowered behind the band while they sing Stonehenge on stage. Hilarious! Anyway, so we are on our holidays in St Ives in Cornwall at the very far South West corner of the UK. Its a mega long drive from Glasgow so we decided to take two days to do it and make a few stops. Hello lovelies! We recently went to Arran for an overnight stay. Its amazing to think that despite being so close, and only an hour's ferry ride away, we'd never been before now. We decided to go without Beth - A) to get a little bit of time to ourselves, and B) we wanted to have a good old drive round the island and do a reccie of best places, beaches and activities in the event that we might want to come back for a proper holiday. After this trip we have decided that we'll def be back and it will be [View Full Entry]

Well, our 3 months lazing period has come to an end again as Alan has got another contract down in Knutsford. He has left today to start work there again tomorrow and Beth and I will be following on shortly to stay down there full time, returning to Uddingston every second or third weekend to make sure our house is still standing. The plan actually was that we would both find work in Glasgow or poss Edinburgh but unfortunately Financial Services hasn't got much to offer by way of decent contracts in Scotland at the moment so we're just embracing the [View Full Entry]

Big Eggs go Adventuring by Ninkynonk: Part 2 Hiya. I'm just sitting down to write this blog with Jo Wiley on Radio 1 burbling away in the background. She's having a phone-in about phobias and a guy has rung in to say he is phobic about tomato sauce because when he was little his big brother told him it was made from horses lips. HORSES LIPS for feck sake - Gag me with a spoon!!!!! What a horrible brother. That's a bit like my shark phobia which I have no doubts whatsoever has been caused by MY big brother sneaking me [View Full Entry]

At this point we must have been up pretty high as we were driving through snow as opposed to viewing it on the hills. It was beautiful. Very Christmassy.
Big Eggs go Adventuring by Ninkynonk: Part I Hi to all and sundry, and welcome back to our little page after our severe blog drought period of what must be about 9 months. Did you think we were dead? We could have been laying in a ditch at the side of the road and no-one would have known or cared...... Yes its been quite a while since we gave a little update on here. Thats mainly due to the fact that we haven't been undertaking many travel adventures of late. Actually lets just rephrase that - we didn't go ANYWHERE for [View Full Entry]

We went on a FABBY trip last weekend, by invitation from our pal Morven's parents George & Maureen, to the most beautiful island of Barra, which is one of the islands of the The Outer Hebrides on the West Coast of Scotland. You can get to Barra two ways - ferry from Oban, or flight from Glasgow. We flew. It wasn't that expensive really - about 100 pounds per person including tax and Beth went free of course as she's so teeny. Flight takes 50 mins and if it's a clear day you get the most amazing views imaginable, heading out [View Full Entry]

Sorry - we lost the text for this blog last year and we are so lazy that we haven't been able to get our arses into gear to update it again ever since. We'll do it properly one day, but in the meantime we have some captions under the photos which indicate what a lovely jolly whizzy time we had in London for a few days. See ya for now, S, A & B. xx [View Full Entry]

Oi get up when oi want, except on Wednesdays when oi get rooodly awaykened boi the dustmen........... PARKLIFE! God, I'm so completely tempted to punctuate this blog with 'PARKLIFE' after every sentence but I think even I might get bored after the third time, so maybe I'd better just quit now while I'm ahead. So what's this update all about then? Well, this Friday night we went to the greyhound racing at Shawfield Stadium in Glasgow. Its something that's been on our list of 'stuff we want to do' for about three years and now we are pleased to say that [View Full Entry]

Its been flippin ages since we updated our page here, and there's a really good reason for this..............we basically haven't had the time as we've been running about like blue arsed flies looking after our new baby daughter Beth. The last we saw you here was at our friends Craig n Morverns' wedding way back in autumn of 2006, and from that point on, Shaz just kept on getting bigger and bigger and bigger, till she finally exploded and and out popped a little baby girl! Awww, bless! Beth was born on the 23rd January - 4 weeks early- and she [View Full Entry]
