Yo no sé Yo no sé si hay un Pecos Bill in Ceiba. No lo he visto. Hay un resturante que serve platos con mucha res, cerdo y pollo. No me recuerdo el nombre del plato. ¿Parradillos? Voy a traer Chance cuando él llege en SPS. Estoy emocionada! Solomente 11 mas dias! Tengo un poco triste tambien porque no tengo mucho tiempo in Honduras. Te amo mucho, Mamá! Me hace falta mucho tambien!
Pecos Bill Isn't there a Pecos Bill's in La Ceiba? Have you tried to buy fruit at the market? Everybody here keeps asking about you. Porque no estas escribiendo en espanol?
Hola Hola my sweets! It sounds like you're getting pretty use to things in ol' Honduras. I get so excited every time I see a new blog from you... I love hearing about your adventures!! That's so awesome that you're fam got to do some traveling with you. I have to give you some props on the state tag game you guys came up with for the kids-you're a natural!! What a great experience for those children. You're amazing my friend. Keep learning that espanol so you can come back and teach me!! Miss you! XOXO
teaching is creative It is a thrill to hear that things are going well. Your story about using physical activity to instruct is awesome. Way to go, you teacher you! I'll show you all the research that supports that teaching strategy when you get home. Love you mucho.
Hey There! Teresa - I am so glad you are having a great time! That is crazy that some of the same people are there...it has been, what, 27 years?? I'm so glad you have access to a computer so you can keep us posted as to what is going on with you! I do miss you! Thank you again for my birthday present! I did find those chunky red coral beads I was looking for! :-) I hope you continue to stay safe, that you stay well, and that you have a wonderful experience! Keep the blogs coming!!
Jealous, Jealous, Jealous I know I'd already heard about all of this on the phone but reading it is still cool. I wish I was there with you guys!!! Thanks for the b-day song to start it off. Can't wait to talk to you babe. I love you.
Hi! Hey T! I'm so excited for you!! I bet you're going to have a great time on your trip. I'm sorry I missed you while I was in Austin. Next time we'll make it work out. Have a fantastic time in Honduras. I miss your face!! XOXO
Miss y'all! Hey guys! It's been great reading your blogs...I have tried to keep up with them, but I've been working my butt of here with two jobs. I am also exremely jealous but very happy for the both of you. Chance, I ran in to your dad and his boyfriend at the gays bars. Nice. :) Teresa, I had a dream that you were a chef, with a chef coat and all, and you were very good at it! Anycrap, looking forward to hearing more about your trip, and very much looking forward to seeing you again! Marie says hello!
Lots of love,
Courtney
The Pierogi with cheese and potatoes are the Russian ones. The ones with cabbage an mushrooms are Polish. In the summer people often eat pierogi with berries , plus some white cream on top.
Don't know why the hell I wrote this, maybe I'm craving for a pierogi fix myself!
Awesome Chance, I almost have tears in my eyes from reading this entry -- he he. You have totally depicted India from an American tourist's viewpoint. Everyone is there to cheat you, be careful. And isn't it soooo overcrowded? I mean when you say 1 billion people live there, you have no idea what it means until you actually see how many people are there!
I honestly think we had the same driver in Agra five months ago. He took us to the same carpet making place and we had to sit through the presentation. Not sure where else your travels take you while in India, but definitely try and ride an elephant and a camel -- very unique experience and something you won't be able to do anywhere else.
Agra is very close to where both of my parents families grew up.
Enjoy!
Vienna! Hi guys! This is Sara's little sister Mollie, and it sounds like y'all are having an amazing time! I'm so jealous! Sara sent me an email and told me you were in Vienna, so I just thought I would drop a quick note with some hints on things to see. (i lived 2 hours south of vienna for all of 2004, so i especially love this country!)
I loved the Dali Museum. It is all of his famous works in a tiny museum. really.....bizarre!!
I also really enjoyed the Museum of Natural History, the collection that they have is fantastic, with things that you could never see in the states. (a statue of a woman's body close to 40,000 years old!) here's some info....
if nature is a topic you are interested in then this is the place you have to go. have a look at the dinasaurus rex as well as huge fishes , fossiles also. be prepared that you will spend minimum half a day, if you want to see all the exponates. open: daily except tuesday: 9:00 - 18:30 tuesday closed wednesday open until 21:00 entries: adults 6,50
please let me know if can help in anyway while you are there! (particularly if you make it anywhere else in austria.) Also, i have some excellent recommendations for Prague and Leipzig if you get a chance to go there! Have a great time and congratulations!
And the people said "Amen!" You are setting the mark pretty high for your life together, but I think it's all going to be amazing - look who you married.
arrival to Delhi My friends had very similar experience as you did. Fortunatelly it never happened to me. I never use the pre-paid taxis or travel agencies and always try to arrange things on my own. Of course in some states trveling with a state bus is impossible, unless you have plenty of time. In Delhi the best way how to get to the center is to take a bus - it leaves from a platform just opposite of the exit from the arrivals hall. I think they don´t go after one a.m. until early in the morning. Its a small, dirty, rattling all the way, but it will take you to Pahargunj for 50 rupees (the price has been the same for last three years!) and without any touts and scams.
It is always a question, whom you can trust. Not all of the people around you want to get money from you, sometimes I felt pretty embarrased when I misunderstood someone´s good will for another attempt to make business...
Enjoy your journey! :)
Happy New Year to you! So glad to hear from you and it's wonderful that you are having such a great time! Nothing makes me happier than when you're happy and right now I'm very happy! I mean air conditioning, cable...what could be better! Take care of each other. Love, Mom
Teresa and I decided to drop everything and see the world. We got married January 29th of 2006 and figured what better way to honeymoon than a trip through Asia and Europe? We'll spend March and April going through Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, India, and Nepal and then the next 4 months or so traveling through Europe. Check here to see where we are, what we've seen and where we go next.
6/6/07: Now it's just me, Teresa, going to Spanish school and traveling around Honduras!... full info
