So, we tried to hook up a cheap ride to a group of islands off the coast of Honduras that are inbetween here and the major Bay Islands of Roatán, Utila and whatever the name of the other one is. The name of the keys that we were trying to get to are called Cayos Cuchinos. Cayos is the word for keys and I´ve been told that Cuchinos means just that Cuchinos. I need to read a bit on their history to get the real answer but that´s what the locals tell me. On the morning we were supposed to go, Saturday, we couldn´t get a hold of our ride to get us to the boat so we weren´t able to get there. It´s apparently a little expensive to get out there and it´s pretty exclusive. It sounds like a great place to stay if you want a quiet, luxury beach trip with some spetacular diving. Doesn´t sound too bad, huh? The barrier reef around the keys is a national reserve so it´s very well protected. No anchoring, no fishing, nothing that may hurt the reef. You can dive and snorkel and I´m assuming it should be some amazing sea life considering it´s a national reserve.

So, we hung out at a nice hotel yesterday that keeps their part of the beach nice and clean with little palapas and palm trees. Just what I needed. We then headed to dinner where I had more seafood and then the ol´ discotech. This is basically what all the younger crowd does on Saturday nights. Dance their butts off starting at about 12 and ending in the wee hours of the morning. It was fun to just dance your butt off for a bit...but then the boys started the annoying trying to dance with you when you don´t want to dance with them thing. One guy that was bugging one of the girls I was with asked me if I wanted him to bring a friend over so I would have a dance partner. Um thank you for checking but no. By that time I was ready to go anyway. I was all excited about going out when we were getting ready and then by the end of the night I remembered why I don´t really go to blacklight invested, loud, same beat pumping nightclubs. I´m more of a sit back, have a cold beer sportsbar kind of girl.

So, tomorrow starts my second week of volunteering at La Casa and my Spanish classes. Who knows what the next week will bring!

Miss you guys!
Love you Chance (I miss you so much)!
