We were up at sunrise as you do when your sleeping in a tent as it gets so hot, had a big hearty breakfast and our walking adventure began. We started at Fortescue Falls where lots of fast natural water was pumping into the gorge, serpents made these water holes back in the day when the earth was soft, they say that these serpents still live in the gorge pools today, I was glad we did not see or feal one of the serpents while going for a swim and body beating from the water fall, Yes the water was cold we arrived there around 9am and the sun does not do much warming to the natural water gorge. I did snorkel for around 5mins but the water went dark and I did not like it, ... read more

We headed off today to see Lauren and Dean as he is cray fishing up in Lancelin, and it just so happens that there is a big windsurfing competion and we happen to have a 2 bed house with 2 sets of bunk beds and 1 double, yes you guessed it we had the choice of the 2 bunks to choose from and as we were the last ones to arrive we had what was left thank god it was the bottom bunk, two on the top bunk would have been interesting. We arrived around lunch time and yes you guessed it headed straight for one of the two local pubs, which was already busy, the race started 20ks down south from Ledge point finishing a few ks after Lancelin, people had come from all over ... read more

Our heads were a little sore this morning, and we had a issue with the car as it has been making lots of noise. We took the car into the local garage and he surgested we go over the road to see a guy on the corner and he weilded the bottom of the car for $20 what a touch we thought, so off we went on the dirt track road to head towards the caves. We passed such lovely scenery traveling all the way along the Great Lake. We arrived around 3pm just in time to book both caves heading to King Soleamans, this cave was the dry cave, it was so cold inside here but so breathtaking. The guide showed us around through the smallest off gaps god only knows how fat people get ... read more

We left the park at lunch time and thought we would have a good head start as driving home through the guts is meant to have some really interesting towns, you would not want to stop in just drive straight through. We did not see to many interesting characters we drove until after dark to try and find free camping we ended up stopping over night in a day stop place we just parked as far back as we could. This was the first time we could have a real log fire, we had already given Lauren the title of fire girl so off she went in search of wood, and 10mins latter we had fire on the go followed by marsh mellows on the end of a stick, this was great. The ground was so ... read more

We set of at breakfast time, "On the road again" was our catch phrase and we had a good 600k's to go to reach Karijini. By now the earth was really red this could be one of the reasons we had still not seen a wild Kangaroo, but we had seen wild emus, ostriches, dolphins hopefully we will spot some in the national park. We did see some really massive Termite minds the one we stopped at must have been hundreds of years old as they carry the dirt when it has rained and build up the minds then the sun bakes it hard onto the termite mind this allows them to build a massive coleney, trust me this was huge must be so old. We stopped in at Tom Price which is the last stop ... read more

We set up camp and headed to the beach to have a look around, the beach just went on and on. The water was really clear but was fresh, the edge of the sea was shallow to begin with then suddenly drops of really deep. The temperature It was around 29 degrees, me and Jay had a geek off chasing each other across the sand, we chilled out on the beach to catch the sunset until the wind picked up we chickened out and headed back to camp. The camp site was very modern with new bathrooms, Coral Bay is self sufficient the town runs off generators they even clean their own water supply so we can drink it. We had a game of cards and a couple of drinks then had an early one. In ... read more

Well we all had a good sleep and headed off from Nanga bay and went to investigate Shell beach, here the beach was covered in shells and the odd green bush type plant. The shells are washed up from sea onto the beach they say it is around 30 meters deep, their is a quarry to the left of the beach and they chop blocks of the crushed shells and use then for bricks and the dusty bits for chicken feed. The waters edge was so frothy but funny enough I did not get a good photo of this. Back into the van and our journey continues up north to Shark Bay, we arrived around lunch time and checked into the only camp site here so yes it was expensive. We headed straight for the beach ... read more

Today we head back on our selfs a little to explore Kalbarri national park, we stopped at some of the most breath taking views 1st stop Castle cove we jumped out and headed for the first look at WA's rugged coast line, straight away we saw about 5 wild dolphins swimming around below the waves were massive here. 2nd stop Eagle Gorge it is called this for a reason you get a birds eye view of everything for up here the noise was amazing listening to the huge waves crash against the cost line, and the gorge looks so deep from up there. 3rd Red Bluff this is where the coast starts to change colour, the coast line is covered in lime stone and sand stone ledges, underneath all this shell fish flurish. Here you can ... read more

We all got up early and jumped into the van, so funny it farts as you drive slowly but is a good runner when you get going. We got onto the Northern highway and our road trip adventure was about to begin. The van was a little noticeable as on one side the van had political leaders on the other the beatles and on the back it said "Lifes a bastard and then you go and marry one" How funny, poor Jay in a van with 3 chicks for a full 11 days. 1st stop was Geralitin here we pulled into Tarcoola beach and put up the table and made us all some lunch, we did not stay around long as wanted to reach Kalbarri before dark,it was a great day so far real comfy drive ... read more

Well I have only lived in Fremantle for nearly a year and I am finally going to let you all into my world with me and my man Jay from WA. Holly was waiting for me when I arrived back from the UK which was nice. The weather here is not quite sitting on the beach all day kind of temp. But what the hell we headed of to Coogee beach of Hollys first long walk on an Aussie beach. Holly choose to walk with her feet in the sea, she was alot braver than me as I dipped my toes and that was enough for me yes the water is still fresh. We walked all the way to the yacht club and back which took around 2 1/2 hours, by which point Hollys feet were ... read more
