Hello Everyone, thought we would update again. Let us see... when was the last update... way back in Scotland. Edinburgh was fine, we stayed a bit out of town, but the place we stayed was pretty good except the room was WAY too hot. we took another one of the new europe tours which was informative, but our tour guide spoke to us as if she was telling a story to a group of young children, which was very annoying. we wandered around a bit , but there is not much to report. we did see the place where J.K. Rowling wrote most of the first Harry Potter book, and also some of the landmark that inspired her (at least so claims our tour guide). Our next stop was in Newcastle (Yay England!) in order to ... read more

We journeyed to Belfast, mostly to see the Giant's Causeway and the Antrim Coast. We took a tour (gasp) with a bunch of other people. It was good, though. The Antrim Coast is beautiful and the Causeway is amazing! The Causeway was built up from a lava flow a long, long time ago. We also stopped at the Bushmills Distillery and found out that we do like whiskey, but the good kind. Other than that Belfast was ok, we didn't see too much there. We took a ferry from Belfast to Stranraer, Scotland. It was pretty routine, but once we hit land we had troubles getting to Glasgow. The train which we were going to take left the station because we were late on the ferry. Fortunately, the company had a bus to take us up ... read more

yes, yes, yes....we didn't update like we said we were going to, but really we were just having too much fun and seeing too many things to be bothered with finding an internet cafe. It has been 11 days and oh how much we have seen. Just firstly, Ireland is amazing. If you are ever going to go anywhere in Europe, make it here! You must, however, rent a car like we did. Otherwise you won't see hardly anything. Aside from that we will mostly just run down the list of things we have seen with a little commentary. The rest of Dublin: We hiked along the cliffs in the Howth Peninsula (and got kinda lost, but ended up in the right-ish place). We saw Malahide Castle, Tara's Childrens Palace (where they have the oldest known ... read more

So, yes... a lot has happened since we last updated (as you might be able to tell from our title). Berlin first... It was good, we got an awesome (and free) walking tour of Berlin. Yay New Europe Tours! We had a hard time getting to our hostel, but eventually found it with the help of some locals. The train (public transit) system in Berlin originally seemed insane, but after a good nights rest we managed to get around fairly easy. Steven thinks it is actually one of the better designs in Europe. We visited a cool museum that had taken apart temples and city gates, like one of the city gates of Babylon, in foreign lands and reassembled them in the museum. Seeing the wall and the death strip in between was interesting. We found ... read more

Welllll.... We decided to rent a car and drive from Munich, through Rothenburg, and up to Frankfurt. We got a VW Golf and hit the freeway. It was fun, and not all that crazy (mostly because everyone else is going that fast too). The non-autobahn highways are more crazy because you are going 100kph (65mph) and it is essentially a road barely wide enough for two cars. Try to image driving up division before 82nd at 65mph (except it is a rural road). Rothenburg is a cute medieval town, where we had delicious, delicious food and discovered a new dessert. It is essentially a ribbon of dough that is balled up somewhat, deep fried, and sprinkled or dipped in powdered sugar, chocolate and other assorted toppings. It is super yummy! Frankfurt was fine, we didn't see ... read more

Oh Germany, let us count the ways...that we love you! But before we get to Germany. We must first get through all of Switzerland (two and a half days), a half day in Geneva, the one and a half days in Paris and then we are in Germany. Yes, we know, we are crazy... oh, wait and we went to Pisa...It was good, the tower is still leaning. The tourists are still flocking there and for some odd reason people actually pay 15 euro to go up the tower. We however, are not THAT SORT of crazy. So...Switzerland was good, but we really cannot recommend going in the spring. We plan to return again one day in the summer for amazing hiking. It was mountainous and quite pretty. We however, needed to get out of the ... read more

Hello All!!! Ok...sooo....Rome was good, got lost one day looking for the Appian Way only to find we couldn't actually walk down it. So we were really tired that day. We got through the line at the Vatican in less than 10 minutes! Yeah, so good times. Umm...Venice... visit, but don't eat the food, unless you go to McDonald's or random shacks on the side of the road. Whatever you do, don't pay 12 euros a person for chef boyardee. It was nice and relaxing though. We stayed in a hotel with an awesome view. The water buses were seriously expensive and made Antonia feel yucky in the tummy. Did some shopping and walking around, also was an amazing Basilica that was decorated all in Mosaics! Took a day to get to a small coastal town ... read more

Bon Journo! Well we were not able to catch up in Naples due to too many people wanting to use too few computers, but rest asured we are having a fabulous time in Italy. OUr ferry journey was fine, getting to the ferry and from the ferry to Naples was a bit of a journey since we did not have all of correct information as to when trains and buses went to where we needed to go. For all who may be traveling in Europe with Eurail, do not trust the timetable they send you with your pass. It is pretty much just very, very wrong. Also many buses and trains require reservations, which costs extra money, so plan accordingly. Naples! Our hostel was awesome! The hostel was really just this guy's house. He made us ... read more

Hello again! We made it through the last of Seoul; visiting markets and taking a city tour. The most amazing thing we saw on our tour was the only Buddist Temple allowed in Seoul proper. It had three huge golden Buddhas in it. They were super cool! (see pictures). We also saw the Seoul World Cup Stadium, which was kinda interesting. Steven liked it the best because he got to see the field and even got a cheesy tourist photo in the museum. We definitely had a good time and thank Sheldon a lot for his hospitality. Our trip from Seoul to Athens took us about 26 hours. We had a 14 hour flight from Seoul to Doha, Qatar and then a 7 hour layover. Then we flew for another 4.5 hours from Doha to Athens. ... read more
