Made it to La Paz a couple of days ago after 17 or so hours of flying and two layover (1st in Fort Lauderdale, 2nd in Lima, Peru). It was colder than expected (33F at night) and the altitude is still bothering me. Getting from the airport to my hostel was an adventure itself. La Paz's terrain is not ideal for walking. I can see why the country invested in cable cars. These cable cars are amazing! Mi Telerifico, is what the locals referred to the cable car as. You can pretty much get to anywhere within the city.
