Our aim is to visit various schools, research centers and other institutions.
We will travel from Chicago along the east coast to Orladno. During this time we will use public transportations and hitchhike. We will be sleeping in cheap accomodation, hospitality club, coach surfing and good people that we meet on the road.
We are planning to learn a lot from our experiences and have a good time with people living in USA.

The last days we spend travelling around in Florida, staying with different couch surfers. We got a little impression of how americans live in different life styles in their own way, and what they think about education and life in general. Specially our last night in Deland with a german emigrated family was very interesting, impressing and inspiring. We went out in the evening to dinner and had great fun.... read more
Today we drove to Venus, FL where we visited Jaque Fresco and Roxanne Madows. Two very passionate and inspiring persons, who are working since more than 30 years on a project, how to make the world a better place for everybody. We spoke about nature science, development of societies, religion and monetary systems. They developed an almost complete system, which will eventually be the next step in society- evolution, where life is resource based and flexible, going forward and constantly changing, adapting, evolving, developing... how ever you want to call it. Jaque calls it fluent... (To be continued)... read more
3rd of December: We arrived 3.45 a.m in Orlando and got picked up by our first Florida host Grag. We slept 4 hours and went to the Airport afterwards to rent a car. In the evening we arrived at Travis place, who will be our host for the next couple of nights. Just before we arrived at his place a tire from his car broke. Since he wanted to show the city he drove us around in an old Limousine he bought for business reasons. 4th of December: We spent the day basically at Travis place, since it was raining all day. We went out for food, but otherwise we spent time with our host, his friend and his brother. In the evening we had chineese dumplings, that that the previous Couchsurfers left in the freezer. ... read more
29th of November: Today we arrived 02:00 p.m in Atlanta after a very long and often interrupted night with Greyhound and their buses. We took the metro to north springs and there we got picked up by our host. We got a lovely Indian dinner, which was made by one of the house mates. Afterwards we watched a funny movie. Nothing more happened since we were tired after a night without sleep. 30th of November: Today we decided to have a rest day, where we would wash our clothes and relax. We went out for a rainy walk to the close by grocery store and bought ice cream. ;) In the evening we did a little work out in the "in-house-fitness-room". We managed one whole hour of dance and fitball aerobic. yeah! 1st of December: Today ... read more
Today we started with brunch at our hosts place, he invited two friends to come over and we spend the rest of the day together with the whole group. First we went to see the waterfalls and walked in the park surrounding the falls. Afterwards we visited another of his friends who lives since summer on a boat, which he bought because it is much cheaper than a house in Washington. Alltogether, by now a group of 8 people, went to have dinner at an Ethiopian restaunrant. Very delicious! We had a great time and got close to those people and an impression about how it might be to live and work in D.C. ... read more

We started the day early with a nice breakfast. While enjoying Sajis hospitality we made plans the party. We (Anna, Claudia and Urska) started to make a decoration for the whole house and we shopped some pies. Guests started coming in the early afternoon and started cooking and preparing the dinner. The ones that came later brought ready made stuff. Each guest had a task to fullfill, like bringing a salat, turkey, water pipe, potato, cranberry souce, etc. The party was couchsurfing gathering so we were very multicultural group. Just some nationalities that we can remember now are: Belorusian, Indian, Venezuelan, Polish, Pakistanian, Jordanian, American (from all the parts of US), Spanish, Russian, Turkish, Vietnamisee, Tunisian, etc. (not counting ourselves, German and Slovenian) We had a great time. Some days ago, when we were still in ... read more
We were on the move again... In the morning we went to the Philadelphia bus station, where due to our tickets the bus should leave. After asking around and endless tries to call the bus company, we figured that we have been tricked and there will be no bus... nor did anyone at the station, neighter cabdrivers and street cleaners ever heard of that company. So after digesting, that we mostlikely lost the ticket with no refund we had to find a bus (train is too expensive) that would have 3 free seats two days before thanksgiving. We were lucky and got some for a reasonable price and 3 hours later. So we arrived around 5p.m in Washington D.C, where from we took the metro to Greenbelt, MD. There we have been received very friendly from ... read more
Today we went in the morning the last time to Philly and we used the opportunity to see some things and do some stuff some people we met on way told us to do. We have seen many beautiful paintings on the houses, what Philadelphia is famous for and went to south philly to eat the cheesesteak everybody says we must try. We did a little shopping in the afternoon and prepared dinner for our friends. It was a quite cold day so we are, no matter how nice it is here with our hosts, happy to move on south... trying to escape the winter for a bit longer. ... read more
