Hey all Well im at Changi airport waiting for my flight to Bangkok, Singapore airprot is the best airport ive been in so far anyway. Im currently on free internet access FREE and its everywhere your only restricted to 15 minutes but its quiet enough so you can log right back in again. I did nothing yesterday except walk around aimlessly with some people form the hostel who wanted to buy presents because they were going home. We ended up in Chiantown again and i wasnt going to buy anything because of the flight today but i still ended up getting a scroll like painting its pretty cool but if it survives the flight ill be very surprised. For those people wondering why i got hey it was like 5 euro so no harm and such. ... read more

Singapore is a really wicked city. It was quite a shock to get back to some normality after Thailand, less chaotic. The city is so clean and everyone speaks English. Also they always actually help you when they say they're going to instead of ripping you off, such as in Thailand! But I don't want to complain as I miss the place now and when they're not trying to sell you something the people are amazing. Right now I'm in Singapore airport waiting to fly to Bali, it's the best airport ever. It has free internet, sleeper chairs, sports chairs with in-built speakers, gardens and a bloody swimming pool- amazing. Oh thank god I just realised you can back-track the dates on this thing so I'll fill you in on the rest of Thailand when I ... read more

It's Official!! my ceiling is no more interesting under the dim green glow of my alarm clock than it is during the day. after about 40 minutes of sleep last night it was finally time to go!!! We arrived in singapore fairly quickly, although there is only so many times you can play super tennis. we went straight to the visitors centre and signed up for our free tour of singa's (we got one because we are here for 10 hours). spent the rest of the time searching for some sunglasses and a watch, which as yet i haven't found. everything seems to be aimed at the rich and famous!!! once the tour got under way we went through customs and got a colonial tour of the city via a bus and a rickity old ... read more

Well both Daniel and I arrived in Singapore late yesterday to extreme humid weather. The flight however was great, not much turbulance and with tv's in the back of the seats it was great! Got to watch a couple of movies which definately made the flight go quicker. This morning thought we were in the middle of a typhoon, the thunder and rain was very loud and woke us up, but it now is just humid. According to the hosts at the hotel it rains in the morning for about 4 hours then it stops... Weird! This afternoon we have walked down Orchid Road to check out all the shops.... Trying to find a pair of shorts for me... No such luck not if I want to pay $80, all the shops seem to be Gucci, ... read more

Well here I am at Singapore airport just waiting now to catch a 14hour flight to London.. Cant Wait! haha.. My flight to Singapore was one of the best I've been on, I had a window seat and absolutley no one sitting next to me! it was great! managed to check my luggage in without a problem despite the weight but had a twat at Immigration tell me my hand luggage was too heavy.. Went and bought another bag cos apparently you can take as many bags as you wont as long as their not over 7kgs.. Go figure, surely a heavy bag takes up less room than 50 bags but anyway... As soon as I got through Immigration I repacked it all back into my original hand luggage and not a problem.. Been a bitch ... read more

So much happened in Bangkok during our three-night stay. It was a strange end to our trip actually. Jason decided to get a couple of suits custom made, and they looked so good on during the second fitting that I was convinced to get a winter coat tailor-made too. The second last day, while I was bartering for a book right off of Kao San, out of nowhere, a french tourist was struck by a car and hurt very badly. We only heard the loud screech of the car and the loud bang of the tourist's body bouncing off the windshield. We turned to see what it was and to our horror saw his shoes fall right infront of us. Jason, being the alert paramedic that he is, ran over to help the guy. I was ... read more

Goodbye Bangkok - you will be missed - friendly people and lively vibrant atmosphere - we won't miss the pollution though. We loved our taster of this city, the beautiful ornate temples, street food, and the fascinating river communities - must return in the near future... Taxi to Bangkok airport, then short flight 2 hrs 40 mins to Singapore Changi airport. Lots of noodles on board - in flight meal! Took the MRT train to China town - careful to follow all the various rules and regulations - which are strategically displayed in English! Then arrived to a colonial Hotel 81, covered elaborately in an array of Chinese decorations and multi-fluorescent lighting for New Year celebrations. Decorations everywhere - Chinese lanterns and beautiful pink flowers displayed all down the streets - a great first impression. Then ... read more
