Hi all,

I am wondering what I can go in Singapore for the few days which I will be there. Are the things mentioned in this article worth doing? I have heard much about the casinos and all. Appreciate your help!

Hi John,

I think you can skip the Asian Civilisations Museum if you're not a museum kind of guy. Little india you should definitely see.

And food! Yes, do try out what the list suggests. You can have your Chicken Rice at a Hawker Centre though! Also try Hokkien Mee (Yellow noodles fried in a fragrant stock with seafood), Nasi Lemak (Coconut rice with fried anchovies, peanuts, egg and maybe a chicken wing) and Wanton Mee (Thin egg noodles in dark soya sauce with charsiew pork slices and fried/sometimes boiled wantons). Man typing this is making me hungry...

Shopping on Orchard Road is good if you have money to spare. But if you, like many locals, like to find bargains. Hit the Chinatown area or Bugis Street Market for cheaper deals! These places can get pretty packed on the weekends so go there on weekdays and after the lunch hour.

Yea and travel on our MRT, its really fast and convenient. Definitely get you to most of the location listed in the top 10 list of tourist attraction. If you wanna get to know all about Singapore, Sentosa is a must-go! fort siloso, the merlion, images of singapore will be a good intro of singapore and they have a cheaper package to visit over 13 attractions by purchasing the sentosa play pass. And you can eat 5 meals a day because there is just so much food to eat in Singapore! (: Reply to this

Check out the Singapore Grand Prix thats happening in Singapore in a few weeks! Other than that, remember to try their famed foods and visit all the cultural sites, but if you only have a few days, you might not be able to finish exploring all of them!

We found the bus 1/2 day city tour a useful start and particularly loved the Orchid Gardens... just nothing like it... beautiful. Next highlight - a cookery class with Ruqxana at Cookery Magic - lovely person, wonderful food! Reply to this
