Sooooo no blog for a long time. Well that's simply because I haven't been travelling....well outside Iceland anyways. No plans of going abroad this year.....economy not so good at the moment. Anyway there's a lot going on here these days. There are volcanos erupting and politicians aswell. Flight all over the world have been cancelled due to ash clouds, going on for 4 days now. There's a bit of talk going on regarding the situtation of the country and people abroad seem to think that we walk around with masks and everything is going to hell. But honestly I wouldn't know there was an eruption going on if I didnt watch the news. We here in the city wouldn't notice a thing otherwise. Hi people Haven't blogged in a while. Haven't traveled in while. Icelands economic state doesn't offer you much possibility to travel in the near future. Hopefully I will though before to long. So now we're in Chicago...but only for a quick stop. We leave for London tomorrow night so we get to spend the day here. Haven't really decided what to do but probably go to Sears Towers or something. I'll tell you more about it later....probably when I'm home. Mexico was great. Lalli and Anel did absolutely everything for us and we were very lucky to get to see the city with them. Saw the Pyramids, in a rainstorm so we didn't get to go to the top but it was great to see them. It's so amazing how the managed to do all these things at the time. Yes now we are in Mexico City and having a wonderful time I might add. Lalli and Anel, and of course little Ari, have been showing us around the city for the last few days. We´ve seen the Pyramids, gone for a 3 hour double decker bus tour ´round the city and went sailing on the canal. Still we have alot more to see and do. I guess you could spend weeks here with plenty to do. Mexico city is soooo big. I could never have imagined the wast space of land it covers. People have built houses upp the hills and even on top of the hills. The trafic here is crazy. How can they fit all these cars in this city? Comming to America.......well everybody had been talking about how strict it is when you enter the country, but it wasn't that bad. I guess compared to the other places we´ve been to it´s not so bad. In Singapore we were grilled far more thoroughly as well as in Australia. But in Fiji we hade to prove that we were actually gonna leave the US in the near future....so maybe that´s why they didnt care to much when we got to LA. But anyway..LA´s been funny. Haven´t seen mant silicon babes, but we didn´t go to the beach and that´s probably their main hangout ;) And not one celebrity has cought my eye:"where´s Lindsay and Paris. Hi everyone. It's been a wonderful short week here in Fiji. The people are LOVELY...I love them. Always laughing and joking and layed back. For the past days we've been sunbaking, snorkeling, lying in hamocks, swimming and just relaxing and enjoying life. We've met lots of fun travellers and Fiji will always stay in my heart as a special place. Now our stay in Australia is over and we're of to Fiji. It's been great staying here with Camillas parents in Sydney. Last week we went to a 2 day surf camp. That was fun....even though l couldn't stand up or anything spectacular. And man we got sore muscles, and cuts and bruses. But it was fun fun fun in the sun. In Sydney we went to the zoo and saw the opera house and more....... Well have to run, flyght in just a few hours. ... read more

So the car thing didn't work out. Instead we decided it was best to head down to Sydney. We took the bus half way to Port Macquire where we spent two days relaxing. The weather wasnt all to good to us, it rained a lot while we were there with bits of sunshine in between. Anyway we had a nice time there, visited the Coala hospital, rainforest, rented bikes (which began with Steinthor, who was by the way to excited, falling off the bike and hurting himself-end then the tire blew like on the other side of town) and strolled around the beach. Yeah now we're middle way between Brisbane and Sydney. It's been really nice here but we leave tomorrow to see more of Australia....and end up in Sydney in the afternoon. Canberra, Blue Mountains, Snowy Mountains and more are what we're planning on seeing.... read more
