"Oh Camarines Sur, Camarines Sur… If I have to simply and plainly describe you in just one word, it would be “EXTREME”." Your Pambansang Manlalakbay Armie “Happy Loner Traveller” Yuson’s next destination in his “SOUTHERN LUZON CHALLENGE” is in the Land of Camarines Sur. I finally had the chance to learn and try Kneeboarding and Wakeboarding! Where else but in the Extreme Capital of the Philippines, BICOL! From Legazpi City, I rode the Van in the Terminal going to Pili Camarines Sur for only 140 Philippine Pesos. It’s a one and a half hour ride and I dropped off at its Capitol & rode the trike to the Famous CWC (Camarines Sur Watersports Complex) for only 20 Philippine Pesos. From there, I availed two hours of their Extreme offer, one hour Kneeboarding and another hour ... read more

Caramoan is a place where you can visit in Camarines Sur. It became popular in the Philippines because the Survivor reality tv gameshow always use the islands for their show. Some of the countries who went there are France, Israel, Bulgaria, Serbia, Sweden, India, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Denmark. The production team of USA is now there preaparing for the show on March. We went to there by Train because we want to experience it going there. We went to eight islands and the people there are accomodating. We stayed at the beach front cabana. It rained for some time so I would recommend to go there on months of January-May because the rest of the months are rainy season already. Food is also great . The place is well known for spicy foods like laing ... read more

It would have been easy to board an overnight bus from Manila to Legazpi City, sleep off the entire 10 hour ride, then hop on a jeepney or a van for another hour's ride from Legazpi City to Donsol, Sorsogon for that date with the "butandings" or whale sharks. But we are a family of 7. An SUV fits us like a glove. Provided no one "overpacks". Also, the plan was for 2 in our family flying home from Legazpi City after a few days into the week. So that lightens up the load and we would have more than enough space in the car on the way back. Summer's Not Over Yet Determined to make this an awesome summer holiday especially for the kids, we set off on this journey late in May. School here ... read more

I, together with my family, went to Camarines Sur last Holy week. It was my first time to go there and I was very excited because I heard so much about this beautiful province in the Bicol Region. If you are the type of person who loves sports and adventure, then this is the perfect place for you. We stayed at the Villas in Villa del Rey Resort. It is part of the CAMSUR WATERSPORTS COMPLEX, owned by the government of Camarines Sur. It is advisable to take an overnight stay at Camsur and take a tour of Bicol. Wakeboarding, its main feature, is exciting but very exhausting. My advice for you is to just purchase an hour of knee boarding because it is very hard. Knee boarding should be done first for you to go ... read more

We left CWC early in the morning. Free ride to Naga City! From Naga we rode a van going to Sabang port. The trip took an hour and a half. Good thing the driver stopped at a gas station coz i really had to pee. Ate a whole watermelon as midnight snack. When we got to the port the boat was already full. We were late for about five minutes. We should never have stopped to buy water or we would have made it. It was 7am and the next boat leaves at 9am and it wasnt there yet. We had breakfast at a diner there. Very dodgy but there was no other place with seats. We bought a huge papaya. Sheli and I had rice and eggs. Sheli talked to a girl who was waiting ... read more

April 22-26, 2010 Food, beach... uhm, food... and then... beach... It has been a long time since I've had a real vacation -- around six months to be exact -- and the sight of the beach, the taste of Bicol Express... actually, just about everything we did and experienced in Camarines Sur was a breath of fresh air. Bumming around in Camsur Watersports Complex, pigging out at Bob Marlin, taking a trip around a cousin's farm, taking the trip to Caramoan, and so on. It's nice to be back on the road.... read more

Besides the default benefit of proving one’s devotion to a partner, being a triathelete ally has two other benefits. One of the benefits is travelling to different places whenever there is a triathlon race and another one is practising different kinds of photography which are sports, portrait, landscape and macro These two benefits are actually my two besetting addictions which provide me sense of satisfaction and worthiness. Camsur IronMan 70.3 was held at the CWC (Camarines Sur Watersports Complex), Pili, Camarines Sur (Philippines) last August 25, 2009. It was much celebrated for the reason that it was the first Ironman race in the country. ... read more

We arrived at CAMSUR Water Sports Complex (CWC) at around 8:00 in the evening. It is located at the Provincial Capitol Complex at Pili Camarines Sur; more or less 30 minutes drive from Naga City. It is a water sports park designed for wakeboarding, wake skating and waterskiing. We were so excited about this! Mark’s Tita(Aunt) Racquel made the arrangements prior to our arrival so we went straight to the reception area to get our key. The receptionists then told us that their records show that we were already in house, which was not possible because we’ve just arrived! The rest of the guys tried to sort it out until we were finally ushered to our house trailer (Villa Del Rey Containers) to get some rest. We had to keep going back and forth to the ... read more
