I am an I.T. Specialist who loves to travel. I am from the Philippines. I love our beaches and have been to a lot of places in my country.

These are the countries I have been to - so far I have only been to 7 countries. I hope I can find time to travel to another country soon!

Besides the default benefit of proving one’s devotion to a partner, being a triathelete ally has two other benefits. One of the benefits is travelling to different places whenever there is a triathlon race and another one is practising different kinds of photography which are sports, portrait, landscape and macro These two benefits are actually my two besetting addictions which provide me sense of satisfaction and worthiness. Camsur IronMan 70.3 was held at the CWC (Camarines Sur Watersports Complex), Pili, Camarines Sur (Philippines) last August 25, 2009. It was much celebrated for the reason that it was the first Ironman race in the country. ... read more

SuBIT or Subic Bay ITU (Internation Triathlon Union) Triathlon is held every year in Subic Bay and in which athletes from different countries compete to show that a man or a woman can be faster, stronger and at the same time endure the three (3) disciplines on a standard olympic distance (1.5k swim, 40k bike and 10k run). Though it was Dennis 5th year of SuBIT, he was a bit anxious on this year's two different transition areas - T1 at Dungaree Beach and T2 at Waterfront Road. With this in mind, we decided to be in Subic earlier than usual. Arriving in Subic on a Friday would prepare Dennis early for the triathlon on Sunday. After checking in the hotel, we explored its vicinity and discovered that Angels and Demons, the movie, was being shown ... read more

It was an extraordinary trip to Monterey, California for I went to attend an ocean side wedding of my brother, Vance. He is physician assistant at Turlock, California where he met her bride and now his sweet wife, Alise. I didn't expect Monterey to be a sightly, ocean side locus. Coming from a 3 hour trip from Santa Rosa where my mom now lived, I was greeted with a view of the peninsula, its beach, the coast and the fresh scent of sea air. Excited, I immediately left my luggage at our hotel room at Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa. The wedding was scheduled at 2pm and I wasn't yet prepared! I walked two blocks from the hotel and was glad to see a salon where I had my hair made up. It was a lovely ... read more

The White Rock Triathlon 2008 was a long distance race equivalent to a half iron man distance. For a first-time half iron man race participant, this long distance race required thorough and intensive training in swimming, biking and running. Going to the Race Event For the first time, the allies (Bea, Abby, Rocky and I) had an opportunity to watch a half iron man race. The allies had to travel to Zambales and savor the beach and amenities at White Rock Beach Resort. I browsed through the resort's website and found their rooms satisfactory and comfortable, the pool enticing, and the beach inviting, though made up of gray sand. What fascinated me most was a picture of the vast lawn fronting the beach shore where one can lounge and enjoy a worthwhile massage or admire the ... read more

Northern Palawan, known as The Calamianes Group of Islands as described by National Geographic is beautiful—extensive fringing reefs, sandy beaches, majestic vertical cliffs, mangrove forests, seagrass beds, and protected bays and inlets. Again, as part of the summer tradition on my birthday, we planned for a vacation. This time, we decided to go to Coron and Busuanga Palawan. And, as an added treat for me, who loved giraffes, we included Calauit Island as part of the itinerary. Puerto Princesa, Palawan We flew from Manila to Palawan via 4pm flight of Air Philippines (a 1 hour flight). Palawan was a place one could get in love with easily. Nature’s beauty could be seen through its abundant trees, green fields, mountains, clear lakes, lagoons, rivers, islands and cream sand beaches. While its non-existent towering malls, fairly good ... read more

The 6th Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival was held at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales, Philippines. It was a 3 day bike festival which included road races, mountain bike downhill, mountain bike cross-country, trials, and BMX freestyle and jumping and of course triathlon. Triathlon as a sport has now become popular among celebrities, mountain climbers, swimmers, bikers and marathoners. Dennis decided to join the triathlon event of the 6th Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival a month ago and planned for this trip to Subic. The Subic International Hotel was fully booked so he looked for another hotel near the location of the race which was Camayan Resort. Camayan Resort then was also fully booked so he booked online at Bay...near the SBMA board walk. However, a week before the race, Camayan Resort called up and informed him that ... read more

Hong Kong Disneyland The highlight of our son's birthday celebration was spending his day in Hong Kong Disneyland. It was colder compared yesterday (Day 1), about 9 - 10 degrees outside and it was drizzling. We woke up early and again enjoyed the view from our hotel room. We got a double treat because we had 2 great views from our room, on the left side is the view of the town/city while a view of the bay on the right side. We already knew how to go to Disneyland via MTR - from Tsun Wan West, go down at Nam Cheong, transfer to Tung Chung line (orange line, MTR lines are color-coded), go down at Sunny Bay then from their take the Disneyland Resort train (fuschia line). It was actually travelling from New Territories to ... read more

Planning Birthdays Planning a birthday celebration for our son was a bit difficult since we want this day special for him every year. He will be 10 on the 29th of January and we want him to experience entirely a new thing. My husband and I decided to go to Hong Kong Disneyland on his birthday and so we planned a 3 days 2 nights Hong Kong free and easy getaway. We looked into several packages and we chose the cheapest one. The travel agent we talked to informed us that we will be staying in L' Hotel Causeway Bay. I was a bit doubtful with this since we paid less that what I expect when you stay in a Hong Kong side hotel. At the Hong Kong Airport We arrived in Hong Kong on ... read more

The rain was continuous, threatening to become stronger and storm signal no. 1 was up in Metro Manila. To go or not to goDennis wanted to race and got registered in the National Age Group Triathlon (NAGT) University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) leg but the sky was dark and raining when we woke up that day. He called up the organizers and was told that the race would go on - we wondered why??? Manila was experiencing storm signal no.1, so maybe it wasn't raining at all in Laguna. Dennis decided that we must go, so we prepared for the race and good thing the race would start at 3pm. This was unusual - starting race is 3pm. Usually, by 3pm, the sun is hot and the heat from the sun makes one become ... read more
